Audio shuts off after 2 minutes, no sound

It's probably Thermal Runaway' a term used when a electronic component over heats and quits working. Go to Radio Shack and buy a can of freeze spray, Take it down to where you can get to the chassis and when it goes out starting spraying components and when you get the right one the sound will pop back on/ This spray is not flammable and does not conduct electricty. That component will have to be replaced,

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

TV comes on, but shuts off after 3 minutes. I must wait at least 5 minutes to get it to turn back on again. TV will ONLY stay on if DVD drawer is OPEN!

dvd is overheating its circuit. Keep the tray open to dry up condensation. then leave TV on standby to keep moisture out.

Shutting off and on...

the problem may be due to dry soldering in the power supply stage if it was with the lamp there would be red or green light showing the presence of the power to the tv after making it own some of the components get hot and it will make the the soldering point conectionless and after some time the heat sink get cooled and the soldering point gets connected and u will see the picture again it is a simple problem if u have a soldering iron u make it hot and re solder all the components in the first part of the circuit board and the problem if rectified
