Ge profile artica ice dispenser and chute frosting. Makes ice and dispenses. Blades frost and chute frosts, then clogs from frost and blades have trouble dispensing when frosting.
This may be because the chute door is not all the way shut when off. If yes the warm moist air is being pulled through the opening and causing this. Sea Breeze
Testimonial: "new here--did not mean to rate you low..sorry!"
I don't understand why you would rate me so poorly and I was here to help. I really do not understand. The PSS26MSRSS is easy for me to help solve this problem.
Thank You. I understand. If your freezer is sealed this should not be a problem. The freezer is one of the best dehumidifiers around if draining and defrosting properly. So moisture above the amount that is removed by defrost would only linger if the defrost condensate drain has a blockage or water or moisture is entering from any location. Ice would get smaller in the ice bin when defrosting correctly. Then if you know moisture is not entering then we need to find out why it's not leaving. I will get back soon with you but I need you to have a look below the refrigerator to see if the defrost has been going to the pan under the refrigerator every 8 to 10 hours, Sea Breeze
Until I hear from you I am going to assume that defrost is happening on the normal routine of about every 10 hours for your Profile. So even if this information does not seem to fit it may be useful at a later date. Here is some web pages that I am working on and have been collecting material from different places. Sea Breeze Tips has a little information on the top of the page and from there I want you to click on to HOW TO FIX A LEAKING REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER which does not sound appropriate but it has a short You Tube movie that simplifies what I am trying to say. The bottom of that page is only if your refrigerator is a repeat offender in the area of drain freeze over. And here is a Profile ARTICA Service Manual that will come in handy later. I know it does not list the 26 cu ft. model but it does and will be very helpful if you have a control board fail or a fan failure. PROFILE ARTICA SERVICE MANUAL CLICK HERE When you have had time to look over this material let me know and anything that you notice or I missed. Thanks, Sea Breeze

I have just solved my own ice dispencer frost problem.
1. The control pannel has to be removed. Look up under the pannel and you will see 3 small holes were the snaps lock in. Press a small screw driver in to the right most hole as you pry outward with a 2nd small screw driver. Unplug the control pannel.
2. Now you will see 4 screws, remove them and pull that segmant out.
3. Remove the 2 screws that hold the flapper in place.
4. Remove the 3 screws holding the solenoid in place.
5. Check the solenoid plunger for rust. If it is rusty, sand it down, clean it and the bore and spray paint the plunger. I use a 12 minute enamel and sped up the drying prosses with a hair dryer then cooled it in the freezer when no longer tacky. Apply a small amount of Pam to the piston and bore. Also Pam the pivot ends of the flapper arm and at the point were the pivot arm engages the solenoid.
You may have encountered a lot of mold as I did in complete shock. Use bleach wipes and dissasemble the flapper all the way for cleaning. It breaks down from the pivot arm and the rubber disc and foam back come appart also. When you have cleaned to your satisfaction, reassemble all small parts and replace in reverse order. Then remove the frost and the blockage were the ice comes from the tray and you should be all set.

I checked out the chute opening today, it is closing, maybe other times it is not. If it is closing, what might be the cause of the frost inside on the blades and dispenser opening to the chute.
Is sounds like you have air leak through the ice chute. Problem could be in ice buildup, broken or misplaced part in the chute opening mechanism.
