Download a copy of the AVG Rescue CD (ISO image file or USB image) and burn this to a blank CD (or USB stick) then use this to boot the computer with the virus.
Run the AVG virus scanner and let it remove all detected virus activity.
If you have AVG virus software installed on your computer, try temporarily disabling AVG Resident Shield, AVG Link Scanner, and AVG Web Shield and then try to install Chrome.
If you don't have AVG installed, then try disabling whatever virus protection you are using and then try installing Chrome.
It seems like you have some sort of virus or spyware. If you do not have a virus scanner I would suggest downloading a free one such as Avast ( http://www.avast.com/eng/download.html ) or AVG Free ( http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition ). After installing the Virus scanner I would then download a spyware scanner. I personally use SuperAntiSpyware ( www.superantispyware.com )and Spybot ( www.safer-networking.org/ ), but there are many of them out there. If you cant download them from your computer, go to another computer and download them and save them to a thumb drive or CD. Hope this helps
Make sure you are logged into the system as an Administrator, otherwise the install will fail. It is trying to create a file in a location where the currently logged in user does not have Create or Write permissions.
you need to uninstall AVG, probably through the Registry since AVG does not have a removal tool.
Once you do so, you can get it to install correctly. Also check that you have the latest windows updates.
i hav usb seagate 160 gb hard disk.nw it is nt getting open message is the file or directory is corrupted or unreadable........CHKDSK is also not working for it.error is "unable to determine volume version and start"....plz help fast
The only way to get a reliable anti-virus is to purchase. Use the control panel - add/remove and uninstall any avg programs. Then run msconfig - startup and disable any avg program. Reboot. See what happens. Purchase an anti-virus and load that.
