Change old pics from black & white to color on a canon powershot

I have the SX10IS your options should be the same. You only have the option to change colors in the manual modes (on the dial; P, Tv, Av, M & C). Press 'func. set' button, on the menu on the left the second option down is a paintbrush that is the my colors menu, select it and you can scroll through to black and white. Also as an option most photo software can convert a color image to black and white.

Place the camera in P, Tv, Av, M, Movie, or Stitch-assist mode. Press the Func/Set button, and scroll down to the "My Colors" icon on the left side (second or third icon down, should show "My Colors Off" at the bottom of the LCD). Now use the left/right buttons to select "B/W", and press the Func/Set button again.

you might want to get that checked out or you can try to go to options and pick color then go down to brightness then put it all the way up then get out of that then go to settings and to color and say color on you might just g=have your camera set on blackand white.

you can change it to no flash by when your taking a picture press the right arrow

that is true maybe you accidentally change the settings. or you set the camera to ntsc or pal use either way.
