Please RUN the software calibration for diagnose, troubleshooting, and fix.

2) LUBE the deck belt, the proble is shut down because enough friction produce from worn deck. In order to protect the electronic system, the machine shut down.Proceed in accordint with the instruction manual.

3) The software c, will guide you what is wrong with the elevation motor.a)try to lube the motor gear b) adjust the potentiomente,c) tigh the connector wires from elevation motor.d) some machine has relais for up and down, clean the contacts.

if it is a classical model 9500/9500HR/9100/9100HR can take the card to a qualified technician mail, you must open the controller and change the following components: D4015L (2) 2N6507 (2) TIP110 (1) and in the latter case there to change the IRGBC40S.
if you treadmill is the Next Generation you should buy new and can find on sportsmith.com

It will be one of three things: #1 faulty Wax/Lift circuit board that controls the lift motor,#2 the motor itself, or #3 a faulty home switch, which is the white plastic switch in the base of the machine which senses the home position or zero degrees elevation.

Sounds like the sensor that detects someone is on it is bad, Here is the service manual that should help.
