I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# GLTF2940FE, will lock the door, start buzzing, and not start the cycle. I suggest resetting your appliance, be either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
Possible unbalanced load in the washer. I have found this to be the case in other types of top load washers. Just redistribute the load the try again. If this works, washer is doing what it needs to do to keep from spinning madly out of control and extending its life!
I understand that the
door lock on your washer is stuck and washer will not operate. Try resetting
the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off.
Wait approximately 2 minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the
washer will start. If your washer will not operate then it possibly have a faulty
door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. I am fairly confident that an
authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal
operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the
manufacturer website.
Thanks

Hello Michael - Thank you for your post! Let's try resetting
the washer. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household
circuit to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and
then turn on the unit. Will the door lock? If the issue persists, then more
than likely the unit is experiencing a communication issue with the control
board and the door latch or the washer has a faulty door latch/lock assembly. In
this regard, I would suggest contacting an Authorized Service Technician that
will be able to assist you in the diagnosis of your appliance.
You can try either prying the door open and then replacig the door switch which is probably what caused the problem in the first place. Or try unplugging the machine for several hours, press and hold power button for a few seconds, wait half hour more, plug back in to see if it resets itself.
did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in to see if you can get it to reset? Would it buzz when you try to drain it? Does the door latch lock when it goes into the wash cycle? Usually the door latch locks when it goes into the wash cycle and stays locked. So it filled up, the door latch should lock, then should go into wash cycle. Then you said few minutes later it stops. How did you get the door open? reason i ask is Usually i would see the clothes get stuck inside the washer because the door latch is still locked when it stops. Was the door unlocked when it stoped. If so maybe something going on with the communication from the board to the door latch maybe. Did you try operatin the drain?
The FdL fault is a door lock error code. It sounds like you may have a bad door latch. Unplugging it and/or pushing the cancel button will not clear the fault as long as the fault condition exists. At best, you may have to replace the door latch. At worst, the CCU (main computer) could also be bad, causing the fault. The door latch can run about $50. The CCU is about $200. Double check all you wiring first before replacing any parts. I hope this will help you.
At the end of the wash the LO comes on and the door stayed locked
