I have a corrupt file problem I have 2 xbox 360's and one is modded/banned from live and the other I diddnt mod so I can play online. Now I've been playing both for about a year but now I get corrupted profiles when i play them on the modded xbox then put the hdd back on the live xbox. I would loose all the achivements and have to recover my profile every time I switched back to the Live xbox. I tried having a copy of the profile always on a memory unit plugged in to the Live xbox and just kept the corrupt copy of the profile on the hdd (because its not corrupt on the modded xbox) but the two are the same profile but with separate game achievements. Is there a way to fix this so my modded xbox does not corrupt the profile/s again or the new Live xbox 360 dosent read it as corrupt? -please help this is getting to be a real pain in the ****. Um dont have the modded xbox hooked to the internet online bro, they see what that one tag does when you go online to gain ur achevements. so my point is to have ur Acheicement points show up on ur gamertag or your profile for instance, it has to be legit, that other xbox must have some file thats not allowing to use it cause that other xbox still has its internet hooked up

Trust me, you don't want to mod. Not only does it void your warranty, but you will be banned. It's not a matter of "if" you get caught, it's "when." You will be permanently banned from xbox live, and you will be lucky if microsoft and activision don't press charges. So don't do it. It's just not worth it.

I got banned from playing online using moded xbox 360, then I fixed it using updated 'thing'.. then my xbox is now in 'not banned' state..if i play online again, will it be banned again?...
From what I have come to understand with modding xbox's and getting band, is that the profile gets banned from xbox live and can no longer be used to play online. On that note, your xbox also has serial numbers that are burned into the hardware components, which once have been branded as "banned" can not be undone. If you choose to get back onto xbox live with that xbox, you can, but you are most likely not going to get very far!

I recently bought the kinect and it worked fine at first. However ive come to play it tonight but its asking for a system update. I dont have xbox live, is there another way to get this sorted?
it is possible to get the updated dashboard without connecting to xbox live, you need to have the KINECT sensor, attach it with all components and insert KINECT ADVENTURES(which is the update), wait for the process to complete... abbra cadabbra i own 1 modded offline non-banned 360 and 1 stock online 360 both with new dashboard update

My harddrive wont let me play online
First of all make sure you have a valid xbox live account and a working internet connection. Once verified, try connecting a different hard drive and connecting (borrow one first). If that doesn't work either then if you bought the xbox used, your xbox might have been banned for being modded. If this doesn't work post a question with what the xbox says exactly when you try getting online.

Older games wont work in xbox 360
Your xbox games? Going online with the console may fix the problem there also is a way to patch the iso to make the games work on the xbox360. This requires backing them up to your computer and saving them to a iso file then patching it with the patcher. The patcher can be found online its called from_xbox_to_xbox360.rar It teaches everything there is about getting your backup to play on xbox 360. I'm unsure if this patcher requires your xbox 360 to be modded. If you mod your xbox 360 you could get banned from xbox.

Best possible solution is to see if you can get an update for the game you are trying to play through xbox live. Some games will play if they are compatible.

You have probably being sold a modded Xbox 360 which got banned by Microsoft as it disables the console being played on the Xbox Live Service, please check on your local Ebay site if they offer any buyer protection on the product you have purchased, in case you feel you have got cheated by the seller.

If not you would only be able to play copied (Pirated) games on your Xbox 360

Is your xbox 360 modded? If it is, you've been banned from XBOX Live because you were foolish and played backups that weren't stealthed. And your Xbox is banned for LIFE.

I think you are asking if you can play a modded xbox on xbox live. The answer is yes but eventually xbox will determine that you are playing on a modded system and ban you from live. After you are banned you will have to buy another membership and a new name.
