Bought a nokia n70 music eddition 1 month ago but it's memory card has been crrupted, when i tried to formet it,but by pc was not able to search memory card

1. Press the Menu key > Tools / Settings > Memory card > Options > Format mem. card
2. Select Yes to confirm.
3. When formatting is complete, enter a name for the memory card, and select OK.

connect to the pc and formet the memory card and insert the memory in another mobile then give a new password

once the pc and the fonne cant format the memory card, it means the memory card is no longer useful you will need to change the mmc.

Try formatting your memory card from your cell phone, not from the computer. This may resolve your issue.

Ok, sorry for the confusion. I'll elaborate it this way. I have a Nokia N70 all the data from memory card got deleted. When I tried to access the card, it said "Memory card corrupted". I tried to format it but it doesn't work. I even connected it to PC but PC doesn't recognise the card. Hope this is clear. Please help!!

You need to download the latest Nokia PC Suite, from the Nokia website of your area to do an update of the software (firmware) on your phone.

Before updating software you should check that there’s a newer version of software available.

When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don’t unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you’re up the creek without a paddle...

I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
