I bought the westinghouse Model sk26h520s back in January. I bought a refurbished model from Mac Mall. The picture has never been great. We only got it to look halfway decesat with many adjustments to the colors menu (only minimally cartoonish). This TV sits unused in one of guest rooms. I think it could use a firmware update I can not locate it.

Could be low on Freon gas but if you get into the working parts to repair them probably cost more than it's worth to repair. You need a repair man to check it out.

Make sure that the source is set to TV. If you use the original remote, press the top button between the volume up/down and channel up/down buttons. If you use the buttons on the side of the TV, the Source button is next to the Channel Down button.

Next press Menu. (On the TV, it's the top button. On the remote, it's the top left button next to the arrow keys.) Now navigate down to Channels (use the Channel down on the TV) and press Enter on the remote (or Menu on the TV). Navigate down to Scan Channels and press Enter or Menu (as needed). Choose Antenna or Cable, depending on your source and press Enter again. (Note: the volume buttons on the TV are your left and right arrows in the OSD.) If you get a confirmation notice, select Yes and press Enter.

Could you be more specific. Taking a wild guess if you are looking at for a cheaper priced iPad then Apples own refurbished site is a great place to start. Ebay is another place if you want to sample the used market. As a precaution make sure you get a model with enough storage, 16gb IMO is too small, a few books, a game or three and some songs and now you're stuck with not enuff storage and no means to upgrade without buying another model.

Try website like Ebay.com to buy refurbish 7 in. LCD screen.

There is your manual and you should be able to buy a universal remote to replace the one it didn't have when you purchased it.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
