Most remotes don't have Olevia codes. I just bought a Sonly RM-VLZ620 for about $20 and it does have codes for Olevia. Not sure what brand of dish you have - but you could check Sony's web site before you buy it.

Not sure what inputs your Olvevia TV has or exactly what DVD player you have. However if wondering about best connections. In this order best to worst. HDMI cable has both HD video and digital audio, make sure you go to the right TV input with your remote and if the DVD is on you should see and hear it. Some DVD's do have some output setting on the front of them or in their menu's however most output to all at all times. Next Component video (this is the cable with three RCA ends per side colored Green,Blue, and Red) follow the color code for each cable green to green on the TV and DVD and this is only a video cable so you will still need a audio cable to the same input number of the TV. Next is Composite this is the Yellow RCA cable and there are usually cables of this type that include a RED and Black cable as well for the audio pair. There are a couple of other possibilities with real old tv's that only have a coax input but I do not think that is an issue for you, also there is the DVI to HDMI conversion but again that is probably not a consideration for you. The inputs on the back of the TV are labeled so when you turn the TV on you also need to set the input to the same named input as you plugged your cables into.

The only problem with trying to get the stand is Olevia is no longer in business. The only luck you might have is trying to search through ebay or craigslist. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

Go to menu -picture- mode- power up - put it on home setting than all controls should be unlocked I think ur in showroom setting 99% of people who reset there factory settings get this problem

youre screwed. panels for tvs cost almost as much as the tv, and they are very hard to replace. i suggest you sell the parts out of it.
