We have aquired a washer that a servce tech claimed to be unfixable after 3 attemps a water valve and 2 circit boards. The machine now has no display and has no response, all 110 circits are live at the board. Any ideas?

E11 means the Fill time is too long. There are a whole bunch of tests to perform - but the easiest is to replace the hoses going into the machine - I had the same problem and tested my hoses - they looked fine - but my machine would do this every so often - turns out my hoses had "check valves" that were a safety design to prevent freeflowing incase one burst.....well the valve was going bad. Replaced both hoses - never had a problem again. But anyways... here are the other tests...
1. Is the incoming water flow normal?
Yes. Go to step (4). No. Go to step (2)
2. Are the incoming water faucets turned completely on?
No. Turn water faucets on. Yes. Go to step (3).
3. Is the incoming water pressure above (30) psi.
No. Have customer correct pressure problem.
Yes. Check for kinked or blocked incoming water hoses, clean
the incoming water screens. If problem still remains, replace the
water inlet valve assembly.
4. Does the fill water continue enter the washer?
Yes. Go to step (5). No. Go to step (6)
5. Remove power from the washer. Did the water fill
stop?
Yes. Go to step (6) No. Replace the inlet valve assembly.
6. Good models, check the pressure switch.
Pressure switch checks good. Go to step (8).
Pressure switch checks bad. Replace pressure switch.
7. Better models, replace the pressure sensor.
If this did not correct the problem, go to step 8.
There is a water fill sensor issue - 1. Is the water level above 4.5 inches? Yes, go to step (2). No, go to step (4). 2. Does the water enter the washer continuously? Yes, go to step (3). No, replace the Main Control Board. 3. Remove power from the washer. Does the water stop coming in? No, replace water valve assembly. Yes, check wiring to valve assembly for shorts. If wiring is good, replace the Main Control Board. 4. Replace the pressure sensor switch. Did this correct the problem? Yes, problem solved. No, replace the Main Control Board.
Your fill time, water fill time, is too long. Have a professional complete the following: . Is the incoming water flow normal? Yes, go to step (4). No, go to step (2). 2. Are the incoming water faucets turned on? No, turn water faucets on. Yes, go to step (3). 3. Is the incoming water pressure above (30) psi? No, have customer correct pressure problem. Yes, check for kinked or blocked incoming water hoses, clean incoming water screens. If problem still remains, replace the water inlet valve assembly. 4. Does the fill water continue to enter the washer? Yes, go to step (5) no, go to step (6). 5. Remove power from washer. Did the water fill stop? Yes, go to step (6). No, replace the inlet valve assembly. 6. For Better models, check the electronic pressure sensor. For Good models, check the pressure switch. Pressure sensor checks good. Go to step (7). Pressure sensor checks incorrect. Replace pressure sensor. 7. Replace the Main Control Board
Hello, it is a cold water issue either the water is off the screens on the valve where you connect the hose is dirty the hoses are reversed or bent and last the cold water valve failed. Its one of these. Hope this helps please rate my answer Thanks :)
NF: no washer fill Washer does not turn on water valves to fill washer with water.
Diagnosis: 1.Is the water turned on? 2.Check inlet hose screens for restriction. 3.Check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to pressure switch. 4.Check water valve. 5.Check inputs and outputs at machine control board.
If your machine is a FAV6800AWW or FAV9800AWW the (upside down u and f) may be a “NF” for no fill error. The washer has tried to fill the machine with water and has sensed a water fill issue. The control board has shut the wash cycle down with an “NF” error to the display because of excess time to complete the water fill portion of the wash cycle. Will the machine complete the cycle with Hot water only or Cold water only?I would do a Quick Wash cycle just to test with an empty wash basket. Regardless of the above test and assuming you have good water pressure for both Hot and Cold supplies to the washer I would do the following. Close the water source valves to the washer and remove the Hot and Cold hose connections at the back of the machine and check for clogged inlet screens. If the water inlet screens are free of restrictions I would go into Service Mode and turn on the Hot and Cold water valves on one at a time and make sure the tub will fill with about 2 inches of water in about 3 minutes in service mode.Check both Hot and Cold inlet valves individually see page 16 of the SM Board Output Test, enter service mode and do the function test for both Hot and Cold Water Valve’s.If the inlet screens are clean and you have water fill restrictions in service mode we may need to look at replacing the water inlet valve assembly. You can turn on the drain pump in service mode to empty the tub or just start a wash cycle and the machine will empty the tub. Hello davidweavers, Does the motor run during the wash cycle? If yes the flow control valves have a problem. The valve to direct flow to the arms is not activing. #1 Close the water input, disconnect the AC power, and open the housing to aquire access to the internal water routing. Check the wiring connections to all componets by reseating the plugs. Physicaly check all valves by moving the arms, if one will not or is very hard to move this could be the problem. Remove the valve & soak in a 50/50 mix of vinegar over night. Test movement. If bad contact Mgfr. for replacement. #2 All valves move freely and all wiring connections check good you have an electrical control problem. Contact the Mgfr. for a control box replacement. When & if you contact Mgfr have the model & serial#s handy. #3 Please E-mail yours truly of results.
it sounds as tho water is getting intyo machine after use. there are 2 possible causes.
either
inlet valve leaking. turn water off and see if this stops water accumulating. if it does, then you need to replace valve to cure.
or
if drain is plumbed into spigot on sink trap then every time you drain sink, some of the water goes down the drain hose.
to cure, take the drain hose up as high as possible in a swan neck
I had the repair guys out 3 months ago maytag paid for labor I paid $150 for seal and bearings, tub froze and belt broke. the tub now is making the loud screams that others complain about I contacted maytag and reapir servce and talked with the tech. this machine is a piece of S$%^ the seal fails on a regular basis and bearings get water in them. I just missed my 3 month waranty and will not pay for that repair again. people at home depot agree that this machine is trouble. the machine must be taken completely down from the top to replace the bearings and or the belt. the tub must be removed. If you call maytag they will pay for the labor but not the parts.
