What you need to do is obtain an HDMI cable for your Virgin HD box. Leave the rest on scart (you can probably even add a another box now that you've freed up one port). Basically just press the button on your TV remote, saying 'Source' and you can flick through all your scart soxkets and HDMI ports. Simples.

Tv dvd and sky box

isn't there any manual/ book?
To connect TV to Sky Box VCR, connect the SCART lead from the AV1 socket on the TV to the TV SCART socket on the Sky Box. Connect another SCART lead from the AV2 socket on the TV to the AV1 socket on the DVD player and an RF cable from VCR to the aerial in socket on the TV.

I cannot record from a Daewoo DVD recorder ( 8150P) through my Viera TV ( model TX-L32S20B ). The screen says No Signal and instructs me to check inputs. I've tried using all cominations of AV1 and AV2...

If you want to record from the TV to the DVD recorder you have to first select a channel on the TV that you want to record and then take an AV cable ( Yellow / Red / White ) and connect from the Monitor out socket of the TV to the AV in of the Daewoo DVD recorder. Drop a blank DVD select AV on the Recorder and press the record button.

I have a JVC RM-C60 TV. I'm trying to tune it in to my Virgin Media HD box using a standard SCART lead but having no joy. It's completely failing to find the cable channel (or any other for that matter)....

Tuning of the TV not required when using scart lead, just select external input that the scartis connected to, ie AV1,AV2 (EXT1,EXT2) etc. The problem is possibly to do with the Virgin box, it may be set to HDMI out in which case it will not output anything via the scart lead, you would need to connect via an HDMI lead (small socket on the rear of the unit looks a little like a USB socket). Problem is if your TV is a CRT television its unlikely to have this socket. Your Virgin box can be reset to output via the scart but you would need to contact Virgin for this process.

How do i connect dvd recorder to tv only receiving sky channels through skybox

If you have two scart sockets on your tv,then connect a scart from av1 on the dvd into the tv,then connect a scart from the sky box into av2 on the dvd, your recording channel on the dvd will be av2.
If you only have on socket on the tv,then connect a scart from av1 on the dvd into the sky box, your recording channel will be av1,connected like this you may have to turn off the sky to watch dvd`s.

Connecting a dvd 250gb hard drive recorder to tv and virgin box

Right then, on the back of the virgin box there are 2 scart outlets, connect one scart from the TV scart port to the scart in on the DVD recorder, then connect one scart lead from the scart out on the DVD recorder to the TV.
Find the DVD recorder source channel on the TV and then use the DVD remote control to find the digital input on the DVD recorder, this is usually AUX channel.

Setting up the Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD Recorder

If the freeview box has a SCART output, connect that to either AV1 or AV2 on the Panasonic. To record, select either AV1 or AV2 as the input. Use the other AV to connect to the TV to playback.
