Psp3 wont read disc

The way to fix this issue is through the PS3 recovery menu.

1- Turn the standby switch off so the red light turns off too, then you turn the system back

on

2- Then place your finger on the power button for a total of 4 beeps to access the recovery

menu. It might not work on the first attempt but it will on the second.

3- The display will instruct you to connect your controller to the PS3 and press the enter

button. A list of menus will appear on your display. The choices are as follows: Restart
System, Restore Default Settings, Restore File System, Rebuild data base, Restore PS3

system, System update

4- Select Restore Default Settings

Service menu?

Jand,
Try unplugging the Tv for about 15 minutes then plug it back in and power it up. That should clear the micro of any settings lock and restore the Tv to factory settings. Then see if you can change to your different inputs.

My hdmi port in the back of the tv does not work..i have never used this before and we bought a ps3 when i hook it up all i get is a green screen but i know it is not my ps3 or cable because they both work...

1a) make sure the two slide switches on the top of your remote are set
to TV and VCR (both to the left).

1b) Press SLEEP TIMER and make sure it is set to "0" minutes. (Only on
screen for 2-3 seconds)

2) While "0 minutes" is being displayed on the screen, press DISPLAY and
VIDEO STATUS at the same time. This will pull up a service menu on
the screen.

3) Press the option # 2 (SELF CHECK) on the service menu

4) Turn the TV off and allow the set to run its normal cool down
process.

5) Turn the TV back on and set the TV back to DIGITAL IN mode by
pressing on the INPUT button.

Turn on PS3 and the initial screen comes up, the time is displayed, however there is no menu screen that is displayed... hence not able to select a user. What to do?

The main problem is with the integrated chip inside the ps3 also called the m7 chip may be not working properly or might be burned . what you have to do is to change its chip and also the controller ports.they must be damaged due to the non proper voltage supply. it shows time because the graphic card can handle the low graphic. if your ps3 is in warranty then go to the Sony service center or fixing it would or may be costly.

Ps3 screen margins too wide for tv display

Try holding your power button on your ps3 down till it blinks.(not your main power switch on back of console) I do believe if correct, this should reset your ps3 resolution to an auto set for best display on your tv. It may pop up with a message on resolution, but that should work. I had similar problems and that worked for me.

My blu ray disk is only displayed in left corner of the screen

This is a long shot, but try going through the dvd/ blu ray settings in your settings menu. I don't have my PS3 handy to tell you exactly where that setting is located, mine is still in the shop. But I remember there being an option for a full screen display of the blu ray menu. Give that a try. Hope that helped.

Playing mp3 songs on the ps3 --- 80gb

Whether you are hooking up your device through a USB cable or removable memory (SD card/Flash drive) the PS3 should recognize and play the titles. Here are a few steps to help you along.

1. Hook up device to your PS3

2. Select PS3 media icon where files files should be located

3. Press triangle button on controller

4. Sub menu will show up on side of screen

5. Select the 'display all' option

6. Files should now be accessable/loadable/playable

Playing files directly from the Mp3 player or loading them on the hard drive are both do-able and both methods should work.
