Ibleive pump is located on right rear , thats most likely the leak .remove rear acess to check dont forget the model # when u go a new one. hope this helps haundi24

Hi this could be coming from a number of places. First get putty knife or possible a butter knife and pop the top. There are 2 clips holding it on they are at the top front about 2" in from the corners... Push in knife and pull up on top at the same time...Fold the top back out of the way and observe inside to see where the water is leaking. If it is coming from underneath you may need to remove the front to screw top left and right then fold out and up to remove. Observe underneath to see where the leak is. I have an Atlantis myself. There can be several problems. Did you check that the fill hoses in the back are not leaking? Are they tight? There are hoses inside the washer and a pump near the front. I replaced my pump last year and I,m getting ready to replace the thrust bearing assembly (spin issues). Does the washer leak with every load? make sure water is not splashing over the tub when filling. The front panel comes off if you can and leave off and watch to see where water is coming from.
I have a Maytag Atlantis top load washer which leaks in the rear right hand corner under the discharge hose, how do I take the machine apart to get to the problem.

I would check the water valves or the water lines. If the water valve is leaking, the water could be running out and following down the cabinet then in to the tub, or the water valve water line that leads right in to the tub there for leaving a water build up.
kenmore elite washer,but first if you want to try to fix it yourselt look on ebay,put make and model number and see what comes up,i got a new transmission for $70 took my time taking apart then reassemble and it was pretty easy,let me know how you do-mike
Yes all you have to do is take off the front cover of the washer or the back cover, it it usually the front on top load washers. I believe your water pump may be cracked, but am not sure. What you need to do is remove the cover and start your washer and let it fill. Get a flashlight and pay close attention to where the water is leaking from. Then all you have to do is replace the part and your done. Any part dealing with water leaking will not be hard to change.
