Sunbeam Heritage 2346 Stand Mixer Logo

I have a Sunbeam Heritage Series Mixmaster, 350 Watts, just purchased yesterday. I used it to mix cake batter, cream butter, whip egg whites....the problem is that it doesn't blend the ingredients. The mixers rotate, spray the ingredients to the sides of the mixing bowl (tried it with the large and small bowls) and just rotate in the middle of the bowl...not even touching the ingredients. I have to keep stopping the mixer, push ingredients back into the center of the bowl, start mixer, and the same thing happens. The mixing fixtures start moving, the bowl spins and the ingredients shift away from the mixers to the side of the bowl...no way the mixers can touch them. My husband tried, my kids tried. We all got the same problem. Help...What are we doing wrong?

There should be a small lever on the base in front of and below the bowl. It will move to 2 positions. It sounds like you have it set for the small bowl but are using the large bowl. Press down on the lever and move it to the other side. If I'm right, that should correct the problem.

My sunbeam mixmaster is about 40 years old and suddenly stopped working

The running capacitor finally died. I used to be their factory service tech. You can change it easily by removing the back knob and the handle. The screws are under the silver buttons. The capacitor looks like a 3/4 x 1 1/4' tube with a small nib sticking out each end.

I have a new kitchenaid mixer and both times i've used it the cake did'nt come out right, it was bland and it fell apart and that never happened before. what did I do wrong?

It could be that your over mixing the batter. It is very easy with a KitchenAid to push a batter too far, and you get too much air, or cream the butter too much into the flour, or press all the oil out of peanut butter. Try using the mixer for only as much to get the matter mixed.

My Sunbeam mixmaster bowl won't turn, how can I fix this?

I believe that this particular model is supposed to have the bowl mix separately. I have removed the black piece from the bottom of the larger bowl in order to allow manual spinning. If I am able to figure out how to fix the bowl spinner I will make another post.

What can you use for a hobart h600

The Hobart H600 is a 2 horse power, 60 quart mixer, it can be used for many things in the kitchen. It can be used to make about any kind of food that needs mixed, wiped or kneaded. It works well in a pizzeria for all facets of making pizza from the dough, to shredding the cheese with an attachment, to a restaurant that makes mashed potatoes and fresh bread, to a full service bakery.
However, the biggest thing that you need to know is the capacity of the machine. As overloading the machine can cause damage that may be costly and take a technician to fix. I do not know what attachments you currently have so I will go over a few of them.

The main attachments are a Wire whip, Flat beater, and Dough hook. There are three different types a "D" wire whip (has many wires and is evenly spaced) this is used to whip egg whites, whipping whip cream, etc. The "C Wing" (has six tines in it) is used for items that are heavy for the D wire whip, like whipping potatoes or icing. The last is the "I" whip is similar to the D wire whip just with less tines. The flat beater is used to mashing or mixing examples are mashed potatoes before they are whipped, cake mixes that do not require whipping, batters and icing. The Dough hook is used for kneading dough examples are pizza dough, bread dough, etc.

The biggest thing when using your mixer is to know its capacity for the material that you are mixing. All though this is one of the bigger machines it still has limits. You should refer to this the following link for the capacity of your machine:
https://my.hobartcorp.com/resourcecenter/ProductDocumentation/F-7701.pdf

There are also a few attachments that can be put on to the No. 12 attachment hub. A few of these are a vegetable slicer-grater and meat grinder.

My Sunbeam Heritage MixMaster mixer just stopped running while making cake frosting. Is there a reset button anywhere?

If it is plugged into a circuit protected by a GFCI breaker, which it should be if it is a kitchen circuit, reset the breaker. If you know for sure there is power at the receptacle you have it plugged into, then the power cord is bad or you have an internal mixer problem. You will have to pay someone to repair it or take the mixer apart yourself and find out what is wrong. Before paying someone be sure and get an estimate as to the cost of the repair. In some cases you are better off buying an new mixer as the repair costs will exceed to price of a new one.

I just purchase an Ultra Power Plus KitchenAid mixer ( 325 Watts). This is a sturdy and capable but there are two major drawbacks in comparison to my old Sunbeam Mixmaster. 1. The Sunbeam had two bowls --...

Wow. We at kitchenaid designed the unit for durability and very long life. The design brief was to build the sherman tank that whisks. You got it. A spare bowl may be purchased from your local supplier. Roller system ... no. It was considered but left the mixer "slippery ' On the bench so was discarded. Sorry. Happy mixing well into the future. See you for a service in 20 years.
