You need to take out the ice bucket, empty it, let the bucket sit in the sink for a few hours. Ice builds up in the crushing blades and jams them, let all the ice melt out of it and it will be fine

Your Icemaker always makes solid cubes. Goes into bucket. your selection on the dispenser is not being recognized . Could be the control on the door (selector) . Also the selinod that switches from whole to crushed located at the assy behind bucket, Varies ON Model #
What is the model number of your refrigerator the ice container that has the auger in there has a lever that goes through the bottom of the ice container and then into an opening in the back where it slides into Square opening that moves the lever up and down when you switch from crushed to cubed it changes the position of that lever. Open the door and press the light switch to turn off the light and have someone pressed the dispense ice button with the ice bucket out can you see that part move up and down. Switch it from crushed to Cubed while watching and pressing the dispense ice button. Does it moved? Is there ice build up over that area that may prevent that actuator for moving the lever? I understand that the ice maker in your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS23H7CS, is crushing your ice, but will not dispense the crushed ice. It sounds like the dispenser is possibly jammed. Follow the following steps for a possible resolution:
1)The ice has melted and frozen around the auger due to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or power outages. Remove the ice container, thaw, and empty the contents. Clean the container, wipe dry, and replace it in the proper position. When new ice is made, dispenser should operate.
2)Ice cubes are jammed between the ice maker and the back of ice container. Remove the ice cubes that are jamming the dispenser.
3)Ice cubes could be frozen together. Use the dispenser often so that cubes do not freeze together.
4)The ice cubes are hollow or smaller than normal. The ice & water filter cartridge could be clogged. Replace the filter cartridge. Dispensing system operates best at 20 - 100 psi water pressure. Well water pressures should fall within this range.
If the above does not work, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Turn the power back on and try dispensing crushed ice. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully.
You have a solenoid switch which switches the dispenser back
and forth from crushed to cube. It could be stuck or not working or the parts
connecting it could be disconnected or broken. You will have to observe to see
if any parts are moving and if any noise is coming from the solenoid. With your model number I can find a diagram which may help.

Hi: There is a flap right where the ice dispenses. When you remove the bin you will see it when inverted. This flap has to open for the ice to be cubed. You might rember a slap as it swung open when it worked. There is a bar that runs from the flap to the back of the dispenser. Work it manually to see if it's jammed or broken. If not look at the back of the freezer and remove the metal panel if neccessary, to find the jam or defective part. I hope this helps, Jeff
sounds like the circuitry on your Cubed Ice button has malfunctioned. Contact the manfacuturer for a solution.
in the meantime, u can grab the Cubed ice manually.
