The new battery may not be fully charges, need to wait a while.
Also try this enter your code + off, again enter your code + off.
If this dosen't work, remove your battery and power down your system.
Wait about 30 seconds, plig in your battery first and then power up your alarm system. You may have to adjust the time.

Let me know.

Low battery and Phone communication failure

Check that you are not using an app that is continuously accessing the internet and communicating with a server for some reason that is using the phones WiFi or mobile channel. I replaced the battery on my GE Simon Security System with a new battery yesterday 27 hours ago and still get the low system battery alarm. I upnplugged the transformer disconnected the batterty and...

Did you run sensor test(drop down cover enter you code pess test button then done button. let run 5 min. close cover press status button If that fixes great. If not, you need multi meter. remove battery put metter on leeds coming off panel. You should see voltage there at least equal to the battery. If not then you may see the the red wire for battery has a lump in it about 1" long that is a fuse. remove wire from panel and meter for resistance/continuity/ohms what ever you want to call it. if there is no resistance or an open ckt then replace that wire.if you see resistance in wire then you have a bad panel. Continuous alternating one green and three flashing red battery

note.gif NOTE: Battery operating time (the time the battery can hold a charge) decreases over time. Depending on how often the battery is used and the conditions under which it is used, you may need to purchase a new battery during the life of your computer. Check the battery status light — If the battery status light flashes orange or is a steady orange the battery charge is low or depleted. Connect the computer to an electrical outlet.
If the battery status light flashes green and orange, the battery is too hot to charge. Shut down the computer, disconnect the computer from the electrical outlet, and then let the battery and computer cool to room temperature.
If the battery status light rapidly flashes orange, the battery may be defective. Contact Dell _I found this on : http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd820/en/ug/index.htm Hope this helps and good luck. if i "fixed ya" please rate me. thanks-jmattes

I replaced back-up battery in my GE simon 3 ( 4 hrs ago), however when I perform a system status check I still get the msg "low battery".

You must unplug the transformer to the system before installing the new battery so the system recognizes that the battery is in place. Once you have installed the battery it is safe to plug the transformer back in.

Simon 3 "System Low Battery" after 3 years use

I install these panels.  For the low battery message to clear you need to power the system down completely.  To do this you need to unplug the battery and also unplug the transformer plugged into an electrical outlet.  When you power the system back up, you need to first plug in the battery leads.  Then the transformer.
