Have you tried a pop up blocker?

Here's one, and in my opinion it is g r e a t !

Pop up Blocker ** free**

www.panicware.com

Also some useful information below. Hope it helps.

SPEAKING WITH MY EXPERIENCE TRY SOMETHING ELSE.

FREE SPYWARE
Download Spybot Search & Destroy. Restart computer, then run Spybot to see what spyware comes up, AND DELET IT.

FYI---Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. SO just download one.

Running Spybot Search & Destroy with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition. FREE

HERE ARE SOME LINKS, THAT WOULD BE BETTER:
NEW *****Somthing new FROM MICROSOFT.*** 2009 ---Security Essentials
http://www.microsoft.com

Pop up Blocker ** free******
www.panicware.com

*****Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5.2 ****

FREE SPYWARE

****Avast ***FREE ANTI VIRUS PROGRAM
http://www.avast.com/eng/home-registrati…

****AVG ****FREE SPYWARE PROGRAM
http://www.free.avg.com

**Ccleaner*** FREE
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4.html?q…

***Malware**** FREE
http://www.malwarebytes.org/.

$ *** KASPERSKY ***
http://www.kaspersky.com

There are alot of $ anti-virus and Internet security programs out there,

ie: Norton, McAfee, Panda, Bitdefender. If you would like to pay $ then get ***Kaspersky***-- 2010 , I feel that is the best for your money.

REMEMBER TO KEEP UP THE DAILY MAINTENANCE ON ALL OF YOUR COMPUTERS.!

Good Luck.
If you think this is good information, , please rate me.
Thanks :0)

Webroot firewall keeps shuting down and giving error

If you are referring to Webroot Desktop Firewall, that software is no longer supported as it was discontinued years ago. The "No Longer Supported" factor means that it is not updated to keep up with new Windows systems and patches, so will slowly stop working and become worse and worse as it gets older. If this is the software you are referring to, unfortunately the best solution is to uninstall it and use a current, updated firewall instead.

If you want to stay with Webroot, their firewall is included in their Internet Security packages. Otherwise there are numerous free and paid firewalls, all with different features, problems, good sides and bad sides. Examples include Comodo, Zone Alarm, and Sunbelt.

I keep receiving the message that Webroot Desktop firewall 5.8 has stopped working. It happens everytime I am on the computer.

The Webroot Desktop Firewall was discontinued several years ago and has not been updated to work on current operating systems or OS patches. Unfortunately, the best way to resolve this issue is to uninstall the Webroot Destop Firewall and replace it with any currently-supported firewall. If you want to stay with Webroot, their Internet Security packages include firewalls. Other firewalls are available at various prices or free, and as always, no firewall is perfect in operation or convenience, so find the one that you trust best and works best for your needs.

I try to run the scan but it keeps on saying that my scan is disabled how can i fix it because my computer is vulnerable thats what pops up i never had issues with webroot but this is frustrating

It looks like your licence has run out and they're asking you to renew.

If this is the case, go to Filehippo.com download and install AVG free, also Microsoft security essentials. Both are free and will cover you.

Then uninstall the webroot stuff.

When i tried to sweep my computer of it's viruses their is still an issue on my computer and their is still pop ups how do i stop this from happening?

Hi, your virus scan will not remove pop ups. Open your web browser and go to tools at the top of the screen and then options, here you can remove or block pop ups and cookies.

Hi,

To allow a program (FireFox) access to the Internet again, perform the following steps:
1. Open Webroot Desktop Firewall
2. Click on Applications and then locate the program you blocked.
3. Right click on the program entry and then click on Allow Traffic.

Dear User,

Though Webroot 6.1 Antivirus works fine on Windows 7, but its Spyweeper (anti spywear), is not seems to be compatible with Windows 7.

You can look for the version of webrrot that is fully compatible with windows 7.
OR
You can go to the free versions of Antivirus availables for Windows 7 (as AVG Free).

Thanks

Webroot Firewall Stops working (Windows Vista)

Hi there!

Try re-installing the software. Also, there maybe registry or windows related problems but there's a solution to that: run TUNEUP UTILITIES and run a full system check on your computer.

Also, make sure your activation key or registration has not expired.

Hope this helps
