Check the ip address on the computer.if your computer is not connected to the router then connect the computer to the router and try to open the setup.
when you check the ip address, you will see the default gateway number that is the ip address of the router.

If you mean how do you access your router from your phone so you can get at the settings pages, you will need to get on your router from a PC or laptop connected directly to it and enable the remote access option on you router.

N.B. This will make your routers pages accessible via the internet so make sure that your access passwords are strong and that you have security, enabled on you router to prevent anyone getting access and changing your settings.

If you cannot access your router because you have forgotten the password you will need to locate the reset hole and use a pin to reset your router back to the factory defaults, if you can advise what the make and model of your router is, I can give you more advice on doing this

If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then - To connect to your wireless router, the router needsits wireless settings to be configured with the SSID, encryption key etc., alsothe wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router and access the Internet via the DSL or cable modem.

To Configure the Router with Internet Access

Connect to one of the wireless router/access point's LAN Ethernet ports, turn off its DHCP server, and give the wireless router a static IP on your LAN:

  1. Connect a PC directly to a LAN port on the wireless router with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Power on the wireless router/access point.
  3. Reboot the PC.
  4. Log in to the wireless router though a browser. (Usually 192.168.1.1, with User Name = admin and Password = password, unless you changed them from the defaults).
  5. Go to the LAN IP menu and disable the wireless access point's DHCP server by unchecking Use router as DHCP server.
  6. Select LAN IP, and change the IP to 192.168.1.99.
  7. Click Apply to save the settings. You will lose the connection to the wireless router/access point , since its IP changed.
  8. Log in to the wireless router/access point with the URL: http://192.168.1.99
  9. Connect one of the wireless router's Local (LAN) ports to your existing network

1. you will have to access the routers permissions page.
You should be able to access the admin page through a browser page using 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 . Check your user manual for the correct IP address to access the Admin page.
2. You will need to allow the I POD to access the internet via your router with either the MAC ( Media Access Control ) address or be an IP assigned by the router.
3. You will need to set up your (DHCP) Dynamic Host Control Protocol ) and your DNS (Domain Name Service / Server) automatically.

Cant go to setup for my router 192.168.2.1
you can't access your router IP address? are there any errors? have you connected your computer to your router using ethernet while accessing the router? cause if try accessing your router wireless it will not work this should be done hard wired using an ethernet cable ^_^ also have you tried resetting the router to default by pressing the pinhole on it press it for 5-10 seconds then let go try accessing the router again ^_^

  • UPnP, DMZ, Port Forwarding, and Port Triggering are not used on the wireless router/access point, and it doesn't matter how they are configured.
  1. Configure the LAN IP address to be within the same subnet as your PCs.
    • Take care not to use an IP address already being used.
    • Limit the number of addresses in the DHCP range and assign an IP address outside of the range to the router you want to use as the Access Point.
  2. Disable DHCP on the wireless router/access point.
  3. Connect one of the LAN ports on the wireless router/access point to a LAN port on the Router.
  4. Configure the SSID and any security settings on the wireless PCs to match the wireless router/access point's SSID and security settings.
a. SSIDs must be the same on all wireless devices. (These are case-sensitive: netGEAR is not the same as NETGEAR.)
b. Tip: Make sure the wireless PCs can connect before configuring WEP, WPA-PSK, or other wireless encryption.

I have a Linksys wrt546 router. How do I enter the routers IP address.
First connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with defaults link
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1
type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"
then you can see configuration page of router.
If are not able to access it then go to start menu then type in run "cmd" then you see command propmt
Type in prompt "ipconfig /all"
then gateway ip is your router ip so you can access router with that gateway ip.
Still not able to access then reset router .
Press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back panel of router.Then you can access it with above link.
