Try jiggling the lens. Use compressed air to blow out any grit around the lens barrel. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

Get message Lens error, restart camera

Not much you can do. Switching off the camera and then on, is like a cod boot from a computer.
You could try to remove the battery for a few seconds, and then reinsert it. Then you should investigate why the lens stays out. Is it because of a mechanical problem, or came some dirt between the barrel, while the camera got wet? Try to remove any obstruction. feel if the lens can move by gently moving the barrel a little. If it goes. Don't apply force, because you could damage the mechanical or electrical parts in the lens barrel.
I hope it works. Don't forget: the battery should be charged fully.

I cant use my camera it appers system error how can i fix this?

Please check if the lens can move free. If there is any obstruction, it will stop and the camera will give an error. Also never try to stop the lens from moving.
Start over again. Remove the battery, charge it. Place the battery and the memory card when you are sure the memory card is not in the locked position. Then close the battery door carefully, so the door is locked correct. Then switch on again.
If the error comes back, perhaps the lens is blocked inside (broken gear or something like that) you have to contact the service centre.

Lens error When the camera is switched on the lens does not open out and the lens cover does not open. The camera then displays a "lens error" message and suggests that the camera be restarted ten...

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

In the screen says lens error

Hi I had the same problem with a codak C743. I cleaned the lens casing from out outside as much as I could and sprayed a tiny bit of WD40 making sure not to get it on the lens itself.

Then I kept turning it on, and zooming in and out until I got the lens error message, switched it off, the on again, wipe, new WD40, zoom etc. repeated this s number of times until the lens was freed.

I think I had some sand/ dirt around the casing.

Worth a try I guess.

Canon Powershot A590 IS GIVING ME A "LENS ERROR, RESTART CAMERA" MESSAGE. I have restarted and the message keeps repeating.

Mine is the same model and it was giving me this same message when I tried to start it up. "LENS ERROR, RESTART CAMERA". It's probably a result of you dropping it. I research it and could'nt find the answer anywhere. I got mad and upset because I use my camera so much and it was not working for the holidays so I hit the lens of the camera on a desk, amazingly I turned it on after I hit t and it started working. I know it sounds a little crazy but give it a try! GOOD LUCK!

Nikon coolpix3700 screen displays lens error

Hi!

I will assume that by the error message , your camera lens is stuck.

Your first option is to bring it to your dealer for repair - if it's under warranty.

If it's out of warranty and you do not wish to pay for repair, try this:

"Hit the camera on the palm of your hand a few times (hit the side of the camera , not the lens). Try it slow at first, if it does not work try to hit it harder (but gently). "

You may need to repeat the process until the lens move to it's correct position. The fix seems odd or perhaps crazy but it usually works!

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!
