Should we buy a front load washing machine if we live in a mobile home? We heard that when it spins it will shake our trailer to pieces. Is this true?

These new front load machines are much heavier and spin much faster than the top load machines. If you have old wood floors in your home or you live in a mobile home, the machine may tend to "walk" or vibrate on the floor. You can try putting something under the machine to help prevent it from walking as it is spinning.

make sure that the nut on the leg is tihgtend down. check level lower on wash machine if all else fails buy shake away pads follow the install directions and see if that helps. i love my shake aways my floor doesnt vibrate any more.

Alot of times with front loader machines they will shake at high speed even if the machine is level. The floor may not sturdy enough. You can put a piece of 3/4" plywood or something like that under you machine. I know putting plywood under your machine is not the best looking thing, but it should help the shaking. The product just needs to to sturdy.

yes bad struts can cause this problem also if you have it on carpet you would be better off cutting a piece of plywood for it to sit on as it will shake when sitting on carpet most of the time

y shaped piece that contains the spindle that attatches to the basket and allows it to spin is corroded and cracking. you can't buy just the spindle bracket, you must buy the basket too. you'll be buying the front part of the drum too, if you wait to long.

I have not heard of the machine damaging floors. the new front loading machines do spin at a high rate of speed. It is so fast that if it is not on a solid floor it will shake the floor. I have been in homes that have a front loarder on the second floor and it literally shakes the whole house. This is why this machine should be only on concrete floors.

your basket shaft is broken or the bearing are bad it probably sounds like a freight train when it goes into high spin you need your washer rebuilt but it would be cheaper to buy a new washer. to rebuild the washer it will cost aleast 800 dollars

Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.

I leave the front load door open now between washes and that musty odor has gone away. As for the shaking, since I live in a mobil home I reinforced the floor and use the next to highest spin setting. My ultimate solution for all my LG W/D problems is going to be to sell the home and let the LG W/D set go with it.
