Hello Friend,
Your player does not support copyright protected music.
To avoid this error, you can:

  • Download music which is not subject to copyright protection.
  • Deselect the option Copy protect music and click OK before you start ripping music from CD.

Try renaming the DRM folder on the computer.

  1. Find the directory C:/Documents and Settings/All users/DRM/. (Hint: If you do not see the DRM directory in the All Users directory, please select Folder Options in the Tools menu, select the View tab, and uncheck “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).”
  2. Rename the DRM directory to “DRM2” by right-clicking the DRM folder and choosing Rename from the Shortcut menu.

Idownloaded my Roy Orbison cd to windows media and transferred to philips gogear raga mp3 player but it won't play and the message DRM lICENCE NOT AVAILABLE comes up. can I fix this without remov

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Philips mp3 go gear, i can put songs on but then when i come to play it says media engine error.drm licence not available.

When the message 'Error' or 'License Issue' shows, it is referring to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) licences which are commonly found when downloading files. This is a method the music companies use to protect their music

My mp3 says drm licence not available and wont play any songs

If the songs are Digital Right Management (DRM) protected, the use of the file is inhibited or limited by the content provider. Therefore it cannot be played in your device.
function verify(f) { var r1, r2, r3; var ua = navigator.userAgent; if ( ua.indexOf("MSIE") > -1 ) { // MS Internet Explorer r1 = document.getElementById("r1").status; r2 = document.getElementById("r2").status; r3 = document.getElementById("r3").status; } else { // other browsers: FF, NS, ... r1 = document.getElementById("r1").checked; r2 = document.getElementById("r2").checked; r3 = document.getElementById("r3").checked; } // alert( "r1 = "+ r1 +"\nr2 = "+ r2 +"\nr3 = "+ r3 ); if ( r1 == false && r2 == false && r3 == false ) { alert ( "Please select one of the following before submit:\n - Yes\n - No\n - Need to try first\n" ); return false; } return true; }

"drm licence not available"

It looks like you may have WMP 11 installed. You must try rolling back to WMP 10 to try and solve your problem. Follow, very carefully, the instructions here.

Drm license not available when i was trying to listen to my mp3 it wont let me listen to any type of song.

You need to plug your mp3 into the computer you downloaded your music from to sync it up. Go to that website and if you dont get a pop up asking if you want to sync your device. You should do this at least once a week.

What does "drm license needed" mean?

"DRM" is Digital Rights Management, and is a way of 'locking' audio files to ensure they can't be copied or used in any other unauthorised way. If you are interested in a detailed explanation:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management

When you purchase music that has DRM you will also get a licence that allows you to use it. HOWEVER, the Philips GoGear SA3125 does not have the ability to play protected content, hence the error message you are getting.

Non-supported fomat detected use the philips media converter otconvert files to the devicr. Flashing when music is playing and some music won,t play and it won,t delete.

The HDD series GoGear is only compatible with older DRM licenses. You will have to load files that are in mp3 format to have any success at all with this series of GoGear.
