DMC-LZ3 ASKING TO TURN CAMERA OFF AND THEN ON AGAING AND AGAING

If the pictures are on a memory card, format the card. This should be done every time you finish downloading your pictures to a computer. FixYa is full of people asking how to salvage pictures from a card that hadn't been formatted recently.

If the pictures are in the camera's internal memory, format it.

Either way, while in playback mode press MENU/SET to display the menu, then use cursor-up/down to select [FORMAT]. Full instructions are in the "[FORMAT]" section of the manual (page 78 in my copy). If you need a copy of the manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

Page 92 of owner's manual for DMC-LZ3 states "Do not use memory card larger than 2GB".

Make sure the scene mode dial is correctly "clicked" into a choice. You could also try this...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

You have it on "auto bracket". Press the up button of the 4-way controller twice. Then you should be able to select on or off.

remove the memory and there will be a sliding button turn off the button and insert the memory

on the side of the memory card theres a little slide thats normally a differant colour to the rest of the card just move this slide to its other position

I've got the same problem! When I turn on my camera, it just won't focus, and askes me to turn it off and on again. My camera is not that new, but it has done a great job all along, I love her x) so I hope I can get some help, please answer to [email protected] ASAP!!!!

I can't speak for the camera, but I would suggest a card reader to get your photos.
