The Z812 IS is powered by either one CRV3 or two AA Lithium disposable batteries (Kodak doesn’t support the use of Alkaline AA’s or NiMH re-chargeable AA’s). It is a high-powered camera, also knows as a GREAT camera. Use CRV-3 lithium duracell batteries. I have the same camera and the same "problem", but when I use that battery it lasts forever.

I bought two new KLIC-8000 for Kodak Z812 IS .. after charging it simple does not start the camera... I tried both the batteries and camera has no response..
