White spirit is NOT what you should use. Mineral spirit leaves a residue film.

Use 99% isoprophyl alcohol.

ALSO inspect the contactboard for cracks by candeling with bright light behind it.

YPG625 Humity problem

The overal sound of yamaha YPG 625 and keys operation are exellent by the price. The only problem I eperienced is the instrument operation under high humidity environment. Under this condition many keys sound loud over others, furter more with no expectation from mucisian. This problems is normal for that model because the music store change my previously YPG625 for the same problem

Sometime I solve the problem to located the instrument under sun exposure and cover the keys and display to avoid direc sun exposure.

Another is apply with a hair dryers over the keys. But is very disconform situation, and I dont know if the Yamaha exposed this isntrument under high humidity environment durig the product test. I has a Ymaha very low budged digital piano and Roland controller A33 in the same condition and never eperience problems, only with this model.

Keys on yamaha digital piano are sounding more than one note at a time how can i fix this?

The keypads can develop dirt , failure of pads which can result in such malfunctioning. If you are able to open the piano then carefully remove the keypads , clean the surface and reset.
this must solve the issue unless the pads/springs/mechanism are having fault.

Hi, I am undecided about which digital piano to buy: Yamaha Arius 141 or Roland F110? help appreciated, thanks, karol.

I have two Yamaha's and I will say they are maintainable. Almost ALL the weighted piano key models use a keyboard made by one company as I understand it. I can easily get service manuals for the Yamaha, not quite as easy for the Roland... same goes for repair parts. Your decision... listen to each and decide. Hint: Use a set of headphones to do the compparision rather than internal speakers as the orientation in a music store can drastically change the sound.

I have a Roland HP 2e digital piano - Foot pedal problem

The ROLAND pianos USUALLY require that you use a normally closed sustain pedal.

MANY pedals are the opposite and close when pressed. SOMETIMES you can open the pedal and reverse the way the switch works.

Have a HP 1700 Roland Digital Piano that has one key (first G to the right of middle C key) that is off.

It sounds as if the membrane under the key needs to be replaced. It can be done with some careful work yourself but you might want to consider having it serviced by a Roland dealer as apparently the parts are becoming scarce. Hope this helps.

It's a Roland HP-7e digital piano about three years old.

You may need to clean the contacts which are usually conductive rubber. I explained stuff for another Roland problem with two keys that were intermittent. I have an EP-7 that I had to do the cleaning of the key contacts. Use 91 or 99 % Isoprophyl alcohol to clean BOTH the conductive "pill" (Black under silicone rubber domes) AND the traces on the board where they press. Clean gently as the traces have a hard black coating.

Roland 3000 Digital Piano 88-Key Full-size weighted keyboard

It's not really for the faint of heart, but generally this is caused by gunk getting into the key circutry. Underlying the 3000's keyboard is a silicone pad with 2 contacts on it, the measurement between each being hit is the issue usually but yours just sounds like there's something in there causing a physical or contact obstruction.

What you really want to do is to remove the keys and clean everything but this isn't easy... You could try using 99% alcohol (from a pharmacy) to clean inside it which may well help you.

There's a good thread on a similar issue at:

http://www.electronicspoint.com/roland-hp-3000s-digital-piano-dodgy-note-t18946.html

Which may help you work out how to do the disassembly if you are brave, but I would start with pouring some alcohol in and poking it and hoping for the best 1st. It sounds crude, but it works amazingly well with some things.
