HDMI inputs are not working

All 3 HDMI inputs on my 1 year old Panasonic TH-42PX80U plasma TV stopped working next day after a warranty expired. I will appreciate any advice. Michael

As crcelect suggests you can run the TV on RCA. You should also be able to use coax directly from your cable box. If you don't have cable you can use an rf converter to connect coax.
I have exactly the same problem with my Panasonic TH-42PX75U. I've been told that I may need to run a setup on my cable box to fix the problem. If I find a solution I'll provide details in a future post.

Green and black screen when I use turn Direct TV box

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

My television is two and a half years old, and therefore outside of the warranty period. All of my HDMI inputs have stopped working, but the other video and audio inputs work fine. I have tried...

  1. Try using a new HDMI cable, unless you have verified that your current HDMI cable works on another television.
  2. If this does not fix your problem, I would recommend taking the television to a TV Repair Shop. It is possible that the HDMI inputs have worn out, or the input control board may be at fault.

Can i connect my panasonic viera th-42px8ou plasma tv,to my vista desk top? my tv has hdmi on it,my vista tower also says it has 1 hdmi connector on the back of it

You can buy an HDMI to DVI adapter (around 20$) to connect your HDMI computer cable to your TV. You will need separates audios cables, right and left, to bring the sound to the TV.

The hdmi inputs all stopped working all at once. Compondent still works ( but isnt true hd). This unit is only 4 months old???

could be the switch-over from analog to digital service. contact your provider, you may need a converter box!
we just received a notice from comcast that we may need an upgrade to our system (only about 2-3 months late!!). otherwise, if your panasonic is still under warranty- contact them! they may have a fix for your problem.
gtood luck!

Sony Viao HDMI to Panasonic Plasma TV HDMI Input handshake

Try all of your HDMI inputs, one may be rated at the correct voltage to be able to display the video. The offical part that Panasonic was giving for this was PDPHDMIKIT, its basically a HDMI extender that regulates the voltage. The part is still available online, try partstore.com or andrews-electronics.

Panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV: red blinking light

are you using a PC to feed a signal or maybe a cable with an adapter?
I had the same issue when I used one of the rear HDMI ports to show a PC display. Apparently there is a software difference between the rear and side/front ports. Inputting the PC through the side HDMI port has solved the problem for me (so far!)
