If you see separation of colors (red, green) in this wavey line most likely you have problem with convergence circuit. Two convergence amps have to be replaced. They located in a middle of the TV boards attached to big aluminum radiator and they part number starts with letters "STK". I would recommend to let professional with this repair. Should cost you about $250-$300. Regards. Russ.
Howdy;
The "crackling noises" from the back is causing the picture to distort. 1) Either locate source of "noise" and correct or 2) Call a Service Company and get corrected. I would recommend that you DO NOT USE TV until this corrected. It may cause a fire inside your TV.
Ok I have had this same problem before sadly unless you now how to configure everything you will need to call a close repair man for it they come re-aline the colors But note: this is not free! i'm Sorry But this is the best i can do hope it helps
sometimes wavey lines can come from your cable or satelite connections because the wrong size cable was used or there is just a bad connection in the cable somewhere..
Sounds like your set has dried caps in the Power Supply, take it to a decent tech, its not something you should try to do yourself as dangerous voltages can still be present evn if the set is unplugged.
