If you right click on my computer and go to manage you should be given a window with the device manager listed. click on device manager and all your devices will be listed there. if any have a question mark than more than likely your driver is not installed or installed incorrectly. if there are any red exclamation marks or red x's than your device is not working or disabled. you can always right click on the device and go to properties to read further about it. if it is disabled you can try to enable it here but you may have to enable it in the bios durring the boot up process of the computer. if none of this is the case or does not work than your ethernet port probably got surged and no longer work a sure way to tell if this is the case is to look at the port the lights should only come on if the cable is plugged in and the computer is turned on. if the lights do not come on or stay on even when it is unplugged than your port is bad and you can just run to walmart and get a pci network card for like $15.

SOURCE: Can't connect to internet thru 2wire modem on new computer

check the ipaddress. go to start -> run -> type ipconfig and hit enter. if you have a 169.x.x.x then you have an invalid ipaddress. if you have any other address go to start -> run -> and type ping google.com. if you recieve replies then the problem is browser . if you dont get replies then check your dns and verify with your isp that that is the correct address. if all checks out then call your isp and tell them they need to replace the modem wether is cable or dsl.

Infocus 5000 won't recognize my computer

How about a little more information?
Does the projector turn on?
has it ever worked?
What type of interface (VGA, DVI, HDMI, RCA)
What type of computer (notebook or desktop)

That being said, double check your cable connections and make sure you tell your computer to look for the projector (Dell laptops used to use FN+F8 to switch from laptop to projector). Windows 7 has a menu choice "Connect to Projector". Mac computers - check system preferences and make sure the projector is ON before you plug it into the Mac.

Dell inspiron 560 won't recognize network adapter

Try reinstalling the NIC driver. If its separate network card, connected in PCI adapter, try to remove and plug it back in to see if its found after.

If these actions do not help, maybe NIC was damager with the power outage, it can happen.

Dell inspiron 560 won't recognize network adapter

if there is no netework adapter in device manager or any device that is not instaled try checking in BIOS if it is enabled. sometimes after power loss bios is reset. if it is enabled in BIOS that short power outage probably killed your network adapter. you can add some PCI network adapter and solve your problem.

My camera won't connect to my computer and it's done it before and all of a sudden it won't now . I have a dell computer and i got it last year so what can i do?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Get a copy of "Driverpack Solutions" and run it. It sounds as though you do not have the network drivers installed.

My Dell Inspiron 560 suddenly stopped connecting to internet through cable-modem.

Onboard adaptor hardware failure? Or is it missing Drivers?
Wireless adaptor - did you install drivers for adaptor? Did you check that WiFi on the adaptor is switched on?

On a side note: I've found that USB 2.0 Wireless N adaptors are the best for connectivity, as they have their drivers on the adaptor, are fully plug and play (Vista/7/8 and even some models on XP). I recommend Transcend (brand name).

My computer won't read the new camera I've got. Even after installing all info from cd. Have tried camera and it works on tv. It won't let recognise the device on problem either. What can I do?

A camera that works connected to a TV without software is not the proper device to connect to a computer. Check again with your packaging and instructions.
Having a camera working on the computer and then porting the video signal to a TV monitor is the preferred arrangement.
Install the software, reboot, then connect a PC camera, it should be recognized and be testable on Skype, etc.

I have internet connection but comp doesn't recognize it. Browser can't access modem. Dell inspiron 1525

Check your IP Address if its configured correctly. Or maybe the cable is damaged that is why you can't connect to the internet.
