After taking 2 pictures with my camera one day, it shut off and would'nt take any more pics, but the camera got very hot, does this mean there's a problem with the camera or do I need a new battery?

Canon elph 100 hs can't take pics

The manual is explaining how to work when you can't shoot pictures on page 181 and 182. To much to repeat it here. The manual is still online. But the shooting could be too much for your battery. As a precaution the camera shuts down. Try to recharge the battery. If that does not help, or perhaps you can take one or a few pictures before it shuts down, you know your battery needs to be replaced.

Will not power on. new batteries installed.

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Thanks

I have a JVC VHS-C gr-axm710u that takes digital still photos, I can't get the pictures to download using their Picture Navigator, when I select Camera ready to download I get a connect error and that is...

Just look at the cam as an external HD. Then you can browse with Explorer, find the pics and copy/paste to the NT machine. After the paste, delete from camera. Don't cut/paste and possibly lose all.

OMG!!! If you still have the camera, try this. I read in one of these forums to spray a burst of brake cleaner in there and blow dry for a few seconds and believe it or not, it worked! That's after me taking it apart to make sure the connectors weren't loose, using the pencil eraser and banging it. I am not making this up. It was my last resort and it worked. Good luck!

Battery problem S2 pro

Check your battery tray and that it has clean contacts. I'm sure you will find that if you place some pressure on the tray to push the batterys in just that fraction more when you take a pic that it will work fine and wont do the annoying beep and shut off. Maybe it has become a little loose over time and isint quite as tight on the contacts as it used to be.
