Make sure you have the Mac driver for your camera. Install the Mac driver that came with the CD. Try to use a different USB cable. You can also try to isolate the problem by plugging your camera to a Windows OS computer like windows xp and vista.

Do you have a USB card reader? Just take the card from the camera, pop into the reader, and you can transfer your photos.
No drivers required unless using Windows 98 or earlier.

Also, the model is wrong, do you mean TZ5? You should be able download software for the camera from www.panasonic.com

Install a Panasonic Lumix to my PC

You need the software that came with your camera. It is on a CD or DVD. You have to install that before you connect the camera. Some brands offer free downloads of the software, and updates. This software only works with camera's of that brand. If you can't find the software, the only thing I can think of is some free software like from Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop elements. Or if your camera does have a memory card, buy a external card reader and use that to transfer the pictures and videos to your computer. For that you don't need the camera software.

I have a Panasonic DMC-FX550 Lumix camera. The date and time show on the camera when i play the pictures, but when i connect the camera to the laptop and view them i cannot see the date and time.I have gone...

The camera screen is displaying the "metadata" for each picture as you view them. Your computer screen does not. However, when you download your pics to the computer, the metadata goes with them. If you hover your pointer over each file, the info will appear. You can right-click and get even more info. Some photo editing programs will even give you every detail including the lens opening and shutter speed, the make of camera that took the pic, etc.

The camera is not transfering my photo to the computer

Use a card reader instead of your camera to download to a folder you create on your desktop.

Lumix® digital camera storage path

Unlike 35mm cameras that store images on film, Lumix® Digital Cameras store images on SD Memory Cards, which make sharing and storing your pictures easy and convenient. You simply insert an SD Memory Card into the camera, take pictures until the card is full, and then you can transfer the pictures onto a compatible PC. Once you saved all your pictures, you can erase the card and start all over again.
