Hotpoint WF220P has become very noisy during spin, especially at high revs. Can it be worn brushes or motor, or bearings? Otherwise all is OK.

Remove drive belt, and spin drum by hand, if it feels rough or noisy, then the main drum bearings are worn.
If no noise from drum, could be a motor prob.
Please rate ,my solution.
Thanks.

Is it possible to change the bearings on this model?

sealed units are separate to the tub and drum
I would first remove everything down to the outside drum as the noise could be from an obstruction ( coin/s bra wire, metal objects etc)
At 3 years I would not expect bearing trouble in a sealed unit so explore all other avenues of the noise first
bearings will be noisy at all cycles and not specifically at high speed spin
before you touch it -check the warranty period and if inside that period call the technician

My Hotpoint WF645 washes ok but is very noisy, especially during the final spin. Any suggestions why this might be?

sounds like it could be a bearing going out, or simply might be something stuck around the drum

Machine noiser than it use to be when tub spins

From the front of the washer, spin drum by hand, and if it feels rough or is noisy, then the main drum bearings are probably worn.
Another possibility is the motor bearings noisy, or a worn armature.
If the noise is gradually getting worse, then I think it is safe to say it is the main bearings.

Hoover AM1100 Washing machine, wont final spin.

The noise, is it a grinding noisy like worn bearings?

put the washer on drain only - is the pump working ok, take the filter out to see if it is turning ok, does that make a strange noise?

If the pump is fine, its back to that noise, it could be be a faulty tacho on the motor ( regulates the spin speed) or motor bearings - has the motor spindle a lot of play on it?
Let me know how you get on and good look!

Drive belt on hotpoint wm56 keeps coming off when machine goes on fast spin. I have fitted a new belt but it still keeps happening.

Make sure belt is reasonably tight, and it is in the center of the drum pulley, if it still comes off, then I would suspect that the drum bearings are worn, or the drum is running out of alighnment, or the motor bearings are worn, if it is noisy when you spin the drum by hand, then the bearings have definately failed.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

GE Top load washer 15years old. noisy when spinning

washer making a load cluck noise when the spin cycle starts.
It only happens when the motor turns slow for the first minute during the spin cycle. Otherwise it works fine.
if the motor is proper then the bearings in the motor got rusted and that needs replacement.the beasrings are located on the back of the motor.

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA54 very noisy during spin

Hi, if your H/P is noisy on the spin cycle, just open the door and turn the drum a few times. If you feel some play, or kind of loud huming noise, then it is the bearings, very, very common on H/P WMA's.
