How do I replace the lcd screen on my z1285 , I have the ICD screen

Hi Anonymous, The LCD screen and the box like assembly holding it is the LCD Panel.

For this particular camera it really is not too difficult. Of course, used ones are available for under $50 or you can get a really good upgrade for under $100 (all US $)

camera drive motor assembly going bad, very common for these model Kodak cameras, Buyer Beware, Made in China, Very low quality and not dependable !!

probably, and I doubt you'll be able to get a replacement anyway, sadly. These modern cameras are not meant to be repairable.

Google the words...disassemble a digital camera.

you have to bring it to a service center tomake sure that thenew lens is well aligned and properly fix.

Hi this is a simple one!

The Kodak Z730 records movies at the following resolution and frame rates 640 x 480, 12 fps, 320 x 240, 20 fps while the Z1285 records movies at the following resolution and frame rates 1280 x 720, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, 30 fps therefore you cannot view the Z730 movies on the Z1285 and vice versa.

yes it can be replaced very costly unless you can find a used one and do you self .

Have you thought about buying a "junk" one just to have parts for? Maybe place an add in the paper for one with a busted zoom lense for the screen? Or maybe search for a company that deals in "salvage", kind of like a junk yard for camera's.
