What you probably have here is a bad relay on the compressor
pull it out and take off the back paneal
you will need to unplug the machine and
remove the plug on the side of the compressor
give it a good shake if it rattles is no good
thats where id start
you can find the part at www.appliancepartspros.com

My Miehle refrigerator and freezer have no power. I checked the breaker and on/off switch on the fridge and both are fine. I have full power to the house.

If the breaker and on/off switch are both fine and you have full power to the house, there are a few other things you can try to troubleshoot the issue with your Miehle refrigerator and freezer. Here are a few things to try:
  1. Check the outlet that the refrigerator is plugged into. Make sure the outlet is working properly and that the plug is fully inserted.
  2. Check the power cord for any visible damage or fraying. If the cord is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
  3. Check the temperature controls inside the refrigerator and freezer. Make sure they are set properly and not accidentally turned off.
  4. If you have an additional refrigerator or freezer in your home, try unplugging it and plugging in your Miehle refrigerator and freezer to see if it is a problem with the outlet.
  5. If none of these suggestions resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the internal components of the refrigerator. In this case, it is best to call a professional appliance repair service to diagnose and fix the problem.

Fisher & Pykel RF610A sporadically tripping house circuit breaker.

It may be the power circuit breaker. I had a similar problem with my oven and it turned out to be a loose connection to the breaker. Try plugging the fridge in to another power outlet.

If there is no power for either the washer or dryer, is there an internal fuse or reset button

I assume you checked the circuit breaker for this outlet? Both appliances are plugged into the same outlet? I would try unplugging both appliances then attempt to reset the breaker again....throw it completely to the OFF position, wait 10 seconds and throw it to the ON position. At this point we are assuming the breaker is working. It could actually be defective. It could be tested with a meter or test light. If you don't have that try plugging a lamp or another device into the outlet the appliances where plugged into. If it works you know your breaker, wiring, and outlet work. If not you need to troubleshoot that...perhaps a ground fault breaker somewhere in between? If the outlet works with the test lamp, next plug in one appliance at a time to try to determine which pops your breaker.

It is not likely, but since you had the lights on the same circuit it is possible that the breaker for that circuit may be tripped. Have you checked the breaker?

A lot of times in the kitchen is a GFCI type outlet that has the reset button right on the outlet, its usually somewhere around the countertop or island but usually not behing the ref. see if you can find the outlet with buttons between the two taps and push the reset button,in some cases depending on your house was wired when built it also may be in a bathroom

Complete electrical failure...no cooling, no lights nothing

have you checked the breaker to see if its tripped? That's what it sounds like it could be since you don't have lights either. If after you check the breaker if you have access to a multimeter check to see if you have voltage at the outlet.

Unit not running, not cooling electronic

To operate, a refrigerator needs electricity. If the refrigerator's light doesn't work and it's motor doesn't run:

1) Check the power. Make sure the receptacle works (plug in a working lamp or a circuit tester). If the receptacle doesn't work, check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse.

2) Be sure the cold control is turned on.

3) If you discover that the refrigerator is plugged into a working outlet and the cold control is on but the device shows no signs of life, leave the door closed to retain the cold air and call an appliance repairperson

Fridge freezer shorting out electrics

The cause of this situation could simply be an overloaded circuit. Homes are built with dedicated circuit for fridge only now because of this. If you notice power outage in other rooms or other appliances in kitchen then the circuit affected,I.E. other outlets affected need the load lightened. If it is a dedicated circuit then could be faulty breaker or possibly altered wiring could be cause. These have to be ruled out before you will know for sure. If it isn,t dedicated outlet for fridge only, just plugging in a light could overload loaded circuit.

My Amana refrigerator freezer is totally off.

Ouch!
You may have lost your fridge. Try This.
  1. Unplug.
  2. Take a table lamp & plug into socket where you had fridge plugged in. Turn light on. If it lights. Fridge is trouble.
  3. If no light check another socket make sure light works if it works your socket, wiring or breaker is your problem.

  1. If fridge check wire to & from fridge make sure it is unplugged feel & look for crimp or gap in wire.
  2. Check connection to fridge some have a reset button or overload fuse. Reset or replace if you find one.

  1. If socket try another socket see if fridge runs.
  2. If it runs you will have to troubleshoot house wiring.

Not cooling

- Check if there power is a supply by opening the door of fridge, if there is a light then there is a supply. But no light check the circuit breaker. Or try another outlet for testing. If your fridge is digital control and there is some error display, then reset the error.
- Check the thermostat setting if set to high cool, and check the compressor at the back of the unit if running, if not there is something wrong to your control or compressor itself, if the compressor is operating and no cool at all maybe your unit is out of refrigerant, please call a qualified technician.
