How do you delete all the songs on my GPX MW238B so i can instal new songs in it? i need step by step instructions if you could please.

I'm glad to provide the instructions to delete songs from the Walkman Player. Unfortunately, the player doesn't have the option to delete songs in itself. It is required to connect the player to the Computer to delete the files.

Please follow the steps to delete the files from the Player:

  • Connect the Player to the Computer using supplied USB cable.
  • Close if the Windows Media Player is automatically popping up when you connect the player.
  • Open My Computer from desktop and check if you're able to view the player as a removable drive under My Computer.
  • Double Click to Open it.
  • You can locate the music files under the folders in the removable drive.
  • Select the unwanted files and then press the delete button on the keyboard.
Now, you can transfer the required songs to the Player.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

This is the easy way to delete unwanted songs, etc.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

My sons got a mw249s from their mom for xmas. i have itunes istheir anyway to put itunes music on the player? I tryed drag and drop the device showed the music loaded but cant play it.

You will first need to delete all the music from your MP3 player that you put on it. Use this method to do that: Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I tunes is an AAC format, it will not work with your player... You need WMA format to make the songs work on the GPX-MW3836 What you can do is covert the songs from ACC to WMA using a format converter. Then put them in a folder/file and drag and drop them to the player, or download the songs to Windows Media Player after you have converted them and then download them to your player, as Windows Media Player is WMA format. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- You can download a free format converter at this website: www.formatoz.com/ Good Luck, I hope this helped Please rate me, Thanks

I have an GPX MW1388 MP3 audio player I cant get it to take music

This player will only recognize certain file types, and certain WMA files have restrictions that will allow you to play the song on your computer, but will not allow you to transfer it to an mp3 player. Your best bet is to get a music service that will only give you songs in mp3 format - it will give you fewer headaches. Once you have downloaded the songs onto your computer, you can use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs to your GPX. The full user's manual is available from GPX's website. Good luck!

When i download my songs on my GPX ML638B MP3 PLAYER SOME SONGS PLAY AND SOME DONT WHY

Some digital music files are in a DRM-protected WMA format that does not allow playback on an mp3 player, even though they will play fine on your computer. The only reliable way around this problem is to only download files that are in mp3 format.

Delete songs

You should be able to hook your mp3 player up to your computer with the USB cable. This will allow you to browser the directory where the songs are and delete or add new songs. Your mp3 player will appear in your computer as a removable disk. The songs that you put on your mp3 player need to be in mp3 or wma format. I also found the instruction manual for your product in pdf format. http://www.gpx.com/shop_ind.php?id=%20%20344#
