Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS120 32" TV
There are two possibilities for that symptoms,
Either standby power supply becomes low (less then +5 volts) so system control chip lose its function OR system control itself stops its function.
Unplugging TV resets system control and it starts work again.
First confirm standby supply is OK, if found good and correct +5 volts, then replace main board that has system control chip.
Let me know exact model number of your Sony TV written at back to find out boards and prices.
