How can I reassign the Serial number of my Frago C30e

If the old number has been reassigned due to being inactive for a good while then you will need a new number. This will come with a new sim, yes, you will need a new sim card, you can puck up new sim cards for next to nothing in most phone shops if you go the PAYG route...it is very straightforward and nothing to be anxious about

With newer Canons you have to run a software program to "initialize" the board when you replace it. The board comes blank, and you have to add the program and settings to run the camera. The software also allows you to replace the serial numbers, do exposure and auto focus adjustments etc. Canon does not sell this proprietary software. You would have to send the camera to Canon and they would charge you the set repair price. Wish I had better news. But try adding the latest firmware. I am not sure if the 40D is the cutoff for this or it started with the 50D. You have to do this with all current Canon models.

Solution to loud noises:

Check the ribbon cartridge and ensure that the cleaning roller is properly installed and rolls smoothly

inside the cartridge. Then check the plate underneath the cleaning roller and verify the 4 pins are seated properly.

Solutions to blurry prints:

1. Make sure the printer has the latest firmware via the web. >> Click Here << to download the latest firmware (Look for "Persona C30e Firmware_Windows/Linux 4.3.0.1 "). The firmware upgrade file is packed in zip file. Extract it to a directory of your choice.

>> Click Here << for an instruction on how to upgrade the firmware. When being prompted to locate the "upgrade file", browse to where you extracted the firmware upgrade file.

2. Calibrate the ribbon sensor. If you have completed these 2 steps and the printer still prints out faded or light cards,

If you reassign, that other device becomes the "licensed device." If you retire the licensed device due to hardware failure, you may reassign the license sooner.

If you had the Student/Teacher version, you can install it on 3 separate computers at the same time.

So the short answer is, YES.

my distributor says there are no Windows 7 drivers for Persona c30. They do not have drivers for the successor c30e for win 7.

I manage to resolve the issue by reassigning the controller 2 to another number. While you are in Fifa10 then reassign your controller from number 2 to any other available number by clicking the round button in between the 2 joy stick. This should stop the freezing.

It seems that the recent PS3 Firmware update (2.80) reassigns your controllers. In order to fix this (I just did it 20 minutes ago and all is fine) is:
Go to the XMB "Settings" Menu.
Open "Accessory Settings"
Using the controller you want to reassign, open "Reassign Controllers"
Scroll to the number you want that controller to be (1,2,3 or 4)
You are good to go!
