The charging port on my VX8600 seems to be no longer working. The batteries I have are fine. (I have two, one is new). The chargers I have are fine. (I have three of those). It started to get "flaky" when I was charging - the cord had to be "just so." Now it won't charge no matter how I try to position the charger. It seems as if the something in the charging port is disconnected, broken, etc. Is there anything I can try, other than finding a used VX8600 to charge my batteries? Related question - does the VX8500 use the same battery and charger, meaning if I had one of those phones, would I be able to charge my VX8600 batteries with my charger? Thank you!

SOURCE: broken charger port

i have the same problem with my enV my friend stripped the wires to my charger at the part where you plug it into the phone so now to charge my phone i tape the red wire to the positive on the battery and the black wire to the negitive there will be a shiny metal goldish color thing (there like 4 lil gold bars) on your battery that looks like this --> (negative) | | | | (positive) | - | | | + | tape the wires on the outside were the symbols are - and + and try not to let it toch the middle bars on the battery or it wont work and dont cover the little bars up with tape put the battery back in the phone making sure the wires dont move to much and it should charge sometimes you got tape the battery onto the phone to make sure it doesnt pop out but its what i do and it saves you money on having to go buy a whole new one or if you know someone with the same phone give them your battery to charge it :)

SOURCE: can't get charger cord to stay in phone to charge

I would recommend stopping by the shop you bought it at, or a cell phone accessory store. They will usually (more than likely) let you test out a charger, as it could be simply wear and tear on your charger. Doing this will address your problem as it will let you know whether in fact it is the charger, or the phone itself.

Good luck.

SOURCE: my enV will not charge!

Hey i think i just figured out the problem to all the port charging issues for the envy and envy 2 phones with verizon. its not the phones, its the charger cord! the part that goes into the phone. it gets pulled out over time from pulling the cord out of the phone all the time. get a pair of pliers. grab the end and push the metal end of the cord against somthing hard, push it back in so it is at the appropriate depth. this should make it charge properly again!

SOURCE: The charger port on my lg voyager is frayed. If i

you have done well in troubleshooting it. if you have tried another charger on it and its not charging, then you have to replace the charging port. if you are good opening phones, then replacing the charging port will not be a problem. the chrging port is usually not screwed, it is just fixed to the board by contacts. look for the replacement part and change it. other wise, take it to a phone technician with the new charging port and replace it. good luck!

My vx8600 is broken, something is wrong with the charging port and it wont let me chrage the phone. i have gone through five chargers and broke them all trying to get it to work. its an old phone i have a...

Yes it is possible. This is a very common problem on this model phone. The charging port will have to be replaced, but requires special equipment to replace it (not just a soldering iron). We replace these at the shop I work for for about $40. Check your phone book, or ask around your phone stores and they can tell you someone local that can repair it for you.

The battery in my ibm thinkpad t30 died,I replaced it with a new one. It will not charge. The charger seems to be fine. Any ideas why its not charging

A possible problem could be the charger port on the actual motherboard. I would recommend finding some one to take a look and replace the charger port.

Samsung charging problem

If very well could be the charging port. Have you tried a different charger?

If it is the charger port, You have 3 options.

1. get it repaired, warrant if possible
2. Get a new one
3.Get an external battery charger and charge battery separate from phone.Another battery and charger will set you back about 10 dollars on ebay2.gif.

My daughter's LG EnV charging port

You can get a charger at factorydirectcellular.com. The link is
http://www.factorydirectcellular.com/home/universal/universal-battery-only-charger.htm

The charger charges the battery independent of the phone. It is the only one I have found and it works GREAT. I had a couple issues at first but the rep, Matt, bent over backwards to resolve them. I would recommend this charger and company to anybody. The charger is a universal charger and will charge other cell phone batteries as well. The only con is that it does take a little longer to charge than using the port.

Battery Charging light doesn't flash and battery doesn't charge

I have the same problem. Worked for 3 years and now the battery charges to green but goes dead immediately. I've changed batteries. Its the camera not the batteries. Works fine plugged in. Obviously the cameras are not charging the batteries. Canon must know but I cannot find a fix and warranty is over. I guess buying the expensive camera of the day isnt always assuring you of quality.
