I erased all songs on my Ipod shuffle - to add a new song list. Now, it is empty and I can't get the autofill to add any songs. I have tried it over and over and just this morning updated yet another version of I-Tunes

Please make sure that the songs you are trying to put are strickly mp3 audio files as any other audio format will never work. Try it and be very conscious of that fact. Sometimes, your itunes might even ask you if you want itunes to convert songs for you, please accept. Goodluck.

if you sync you iPod , all the music in the iPod will be deleted.
what you need to do is to click on your iPod icon when you connect it to the computer and then check "Manually manage music".
then you need to create a playlist, put all the songs you want to add in your iPod, then under the iPod click on Music, and you will see "Autofill from:" below the window.
select the playlist yu created and click on autofill.
thus the songs will be added without deleting the ones which were already on the iPod.

You can set iTunes to transfer a selection of songs from your entire music library or from a specific playlist. Connect the iPod shuffle to your computer and select it from the iTunes Source list. Select the source from which iTunes will transfer to the iPod. In the

try itune....convert the song and then put it in ur ipod.

I have an I-Pod Shuffle and I do not know how to use it. It did not come with a manual. Please help me.

You have to keep all the songs that you want on your iPod on your computer, otherwise you will get this problem. So if you want song "a" on your iPod it must also be in your iTunes library at all times unless you don't want it on your iPod anymore

You can either do a restore:
Connect to your computer and open itunes.
When you first open itunes you should be in "Devices"
Make sure you're in the "Summary" tab and you will have a button that says "Restore"
Click that and it will do the rest.


Or
Sync with an itunes library that has no files on it, this will also remove the files from your ipod.

indicates that there is NO MUSIC on the Ipod.

go into itunes, connect your ipod.

when your Ipod connects you will see it apear in the left columb.

click on it. - if your library is now blank there is no music on it.

click 'autofill' at the botom to put songs from your album on to your ipod.
