Alas, no. The ViviCam 5022 does not record sound. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software, but you cannot record one on the camera.

Sounds like a software issue, possibly with webam central. There's a free player that has good codecs, and it may help you. Here it is:

To set up Facebook, Log-into

Then click on Record and send video messages. and in the Adobe Flash player click on ALLOW.
This will start your camera to create your video to send to your friend or contact.
After creating the Video, click on ATTACH.

DSC-S930 does record sound and you can hear video clip sound by playback of Media Player in Computer.
This camera does not have inbuilt speaker for playback sound but it have inbuilt mic to record sound, transfer recorded movie clip in computer and play it with media player to get sound and picture.

Ok i've had this problem it's an easy fix actually, more then likely you have the shutter sound turned off? well i did because i didn't like it going off when taking a video, just go into your video camera mode and got to shutter sound turn it on (yes it has to be on so you got to deal with it) and your sound will work on the video. It's weird I know but it works haha hope that helps!

This is because the camera is not capable to record the sound. The camera was not designed with any audio speakers to be able to record and playback sound recorded during movie mode.

Check your sound properties. It is probably defaulted to a low setting. Try raising the setting to one that says DVD quality and see if that fixes your problem. Hope this helps.

Sony DSC-S700 can record voice in video clips but you can listen sound of clip by exporting it to computer and playback there.
