We just replaced our lamp in our rear projection tv and it will not turn back on (the yellow lamp light is on and the red light blinking, just as it was when the lamp went out). We have unplugged and plugged back in the tv a couple of times but it still will not work. Any suggestions?
Did you get the lamp door back on properly? There is a switch that when the door is taken off the switch there keeps the set from coming on.
I have tried this in some tv's like this: On top of the lamp case portion there is a thermal cutoff just like ones that are in microwaves. It has two wires going to it and lies flat on its mount and I have placed a jumper across it or uses an alligator clip lead (has clips on each end with wire connected to clips.) If bad it has opened up and will not allow voltage to flow. Can usually be checked with ohm meter with one of the wires loose if you don't use the jumper. Another problem that comes to my mind it you might have to reset the lamp timer in the service menu. (in some cases) I'm sorry but I don't have this information but you could call Panasonic customer support and they should help

thanks so much for your quick feedback. We tried that but it did not work. It is wanting to turn back on (and the green light comes on initially), but then it shuts off and the red light comes back on. Any other things to try?
