Do you leave camera on as it is charging through computer for the Kodak Easyshare M753 Camera?

Hi it dont need to be on whilst charging, some cameras will switch themselves on when you plug them into the computer, but you can still turn it off, now you need to bare in mind that unless you are using a powered usb port is one that plugs into the mains then into your computer you may have problems charging the camera enough through the computers own usb port, it may still charge so you will have to try some cameras will just power up enough to enable you to transfer pictures onto your computer.

give it a try and see how you get on, it wont matter if the camera is on or off whilst plugged into computer how ever it will charge quicker with the camera off if it will even charge at all

Charged the battery, and the cammera still wont turn on

Hello, Quite possibly the battery is a few years old and has lost the capacity to power the unit on,these type batteries become weak over time and the unit requires quite a bit of power to boot the camera, only solution is try a new battery that has been charged for at least 4 hours.Hope this solves your problem, the battery is very cheap on E-Bay,Battery is KLIC-5001.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.

The kodak easyShare z740 camra i have purchesed will not turn on

For Z740 camera the batteries should be AA Ni-MH batteries it will provide a maximum power on the camera. Now if your using the battery and its fully charged still wont turn On.

To test your camera if its defective, Try to Turn On the camera using a 3V AC adaptor if this failed it means you need to send the camera for repair you may call kodak tech support toll free 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't power on. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:
