its probably dead. a tech, ,opens the drive and cleans it , in the hope it come back. looking for , junk (labels) in the drive. broken disks , parts inside or dust on optics, cars are dust magnets, so....... if it's not something easy, most replace it. it's cheaper that real repairs. but all can be fixed in any pro electronics shop and all parts can be had. parts + labor can hit $200 easy or more, id up grade to USB memory stick Headend radio and use them, an never DVD again, they really are obsolete now. really. id move up.. 1000s of songs on one stick, no more scratched skipping or dirty disk.s DVD is dead, (first run movies excepted, but VOD is killing this)
To eject the dvd from the dvd player you have to push the eject button on the dvd player, if the dvd is stuck inside the dvd player you have to get it checked by a service technician
The Honda dealer just wanted to replace my entertainment center without even troubleshooting and I wasn't convinced that it was "broken" so I found the FIXYA website and saw that others had the same problem and I followed their instructions and it now works fine. I am going to call the Honda dealer to complain because they should have known this.
We simply pulled the fuse out and put it back in and then reset the radio code!
