Tv is 2yrs old..replaced bulb after about1.5yrs..then bulb light blinks..not all three just the one..now the it has been sitting for 5 months..trying to see what is up with it and it seems to cycle during start up but just cant get going..Is the ballast causing it not to fire up?
If so is this something I can do?
Any help would be appreciated

not blub you do get light ie a picture it sound like your video processor has a heat problem,
alias, you can not repair this you self, Hope its still under the warranty. You got to take it to the repair man... Soory

how extended is that warranty, and what does it cover? Sounds to me like a classic video controller board about to fail.

It is the color wheel, inside the light engine. The bearings get dirty and makes it harder for the wheel to spin causing that whin.

your description is unclear, but it sounds like you're saying that the lamp LED came on so you replaced the lamp, and it worked for about 1.5 hours, then went out again ?
