I have had my RCA Scenium for about 2 years. Last year the lamp burned out. I purchased a new lamp and the T.V. worked fine. A year later the lamp burned out again. I replaced the lamp and with in a minute the lamp burned out again. What do think the problem is. These lamps are expensive and the place I purchased the lamp from does not want to replace the lamp because they say that the problem is with the TV.
Well look at this,, I use many projectors due to my work with artist and my bussiness in wedding and happybirdays,I have to chage those expensive lamp frecuenly. a cople of time the lamp fuse off rapily in short time and the store is ok no buddies warrant electric or electronic parts so we the custumerpay for the in line manufacture bad parts so nothing to do buy another one and thats all you can do but clean the soket and allway look for crack or weare parts in the socket I use to inspect everything in the lamp system specialy the socket and clean the contatc were you conect the lamp with a very thinn sharper tool if you suspec change the lamp socket they always work at verry high temperature ....good luck and rate me

Projection TV makers charge an arm and a leg for their replacement
lamps. They make it easy to do but as a result the custom lamp
assy is expensive. The trick is to just buy the bulb for your
model TV from any number of us aftermarket sources at a fraction of the
lamp price and install it in the old lamp yourself. really
easy. Some models are real bulb hogs though. Look them up
on the net (include the word complaint or repair) before you buy, or
you might be sorry. Many class action lawsuits out there - even
against some of the name brand makers.
Hope ya fix it!

It makes since but it gets expensive. My first lamp was 700.00 dollars and my second lamp was 350 dollars. I appreciate the info..
