Bluetooth message is "unable to connect"

We just got a MOTOROLA V3C US CELLULAR Razr phone and are trying to transfer songs from the old Motorola to the Razr. After I turn on bluetooth on both phones and then search for the Razr, then select copy from the Motorola V323 to the Razr, it says "unable to connect to Tom" (which is the Razr phones name). Please help before I send this phone back.

I have a motorola razor v3 and I'm trying to connect my bluetooth (which is a motorola H680)

when you place the bluetooth in pairing mode and search for it from your phone it should automatically connect

if it asks for a passcode then press 0000

if this does not work try it with another phone or try to connect another bluetooth to this phone to see if there is an issue with the bluetooth on your phone

Do I need to have phone service to transher

No you don't. The phonetools software can be a bit flakey. Easiest way is to put a memory card into the phone and transfer to the memaory card. You could also try to bluetooth it as well.

I have a motorola v3 that is some years old and would like to download the photos from it - can I must attached it to my PC I have already downloded the disk but does not give instructions for downloading...

Hello,

Yes you can download the photos from your motorola to your PC in three ways:

1. If your Motorola has bluetooth and your PC too has bluetooth, you can turn on your bluetooth on both devices to be able to transfer your photos.

2. If your Motorola has a USB cable you can also transfer your photos by simply plugging your USB cable to your PC and access the Memory card to copy your photos.

3. Or you can simply remove the Memory card from your Motorola and slot it into the memory card reader on your PC to transfer the photos

Regards.

How do i download songs on to my motorola razr v3m

there are mainly 2 ways to download/transfersongs to your Moto V3 - USB cable & Bluetooth
(though you can also download from internet at the cost of airtime).

USB Cable:
- download and install this usb driver - http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/Common/Drivers%20and%20Plug%20ins/USB_Driver_32.zip
- connect the Motorola to the computer through USB cable.
Now you can copy/transfer songs from your computer.

Bluetooth:
Using Bluetooth you can transfer songs from any other Bluetooth device(other Mobile or computer which has Bluetooth)
- Switch On your V3's Bluetooth. Press Menu -> Setting & Tools -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Setup -> Power -On

- Make your V3 visible to other device. Press Menu -> Setting & Tools -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Setup -> Find Me

- Now from any other mobile(having Bluetooth), select any song, go to its options, select either Send/Copy which has option To Bluetooth (it'll prompt to switch On the Bluetooth, answer yes)

- click on Search for Device. this will find your V3 in few seconds.

- after this it may ask to set a password, set a 4 digit password, say 1111

- now your V3 will also ask to confirm the password, keyin 1111

- You can see the progress of your song transfer.
(for next song you'll only have to say Ok on V3, password etc. step only one time)

Razr phone

If your computer is bluetooth enabled, then make it discoverable from your computer. Activate the bluetooth option on the RZR. You can transfer files, 1 at a time wirelessly. If it is a windows computer, you can use the 5pin usb to usb cable that hopefully came with the phone, and do batch transfers from the computers side.

Keep me posted.

Morola Razor Phone

if you have a usb lead that came with the phone and accompanying software, use this to do it, if not, you will have to buy a usb bluetooth dongle to connect to your pc andand transfer via bluetooth.
