Hi,

Your set has gone into an auto protect mode after detecting an equipment failure that could possible damage other components in your set if it didn't power off. A qualified tech will need to check your set, the blinking light corresponds to a code that will let the tech know what parts might have failed, not always is the code for an exact part failure, but rather a group of possible part failures. You might be able to fix the set without breaking the bank, but you'll need to get a qualified tech to your home to inspect the set. Sorry there isn't an easier way to tell you what's wrong and there isn't a quick fix for your problem.

I will expect this repair to be $150 to $250 depending on how many parts are found to be out of factory specifications and if the board can be repaired or has to be replaced. A small TV shop will often charge less for the repair than a large repair facility.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Mitsubishi WS-65908 will not stay on

Its a color convergence problem from description:

If green light comes on for a few seconds and goes off:

On the front of the set (not the remote) press and hold both the menu and input (device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Watch power light: it will blink a two digit error code, in your case I suspect it will be 2 blinks, 2 blinks and repeat several times.

Let me know error code and I will help.

I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop and a few days ago I replaced the cmos battery and it worked; now it won´t but up. it started shutting down, now fan runs for 2 seconds lights come up but no display and...

Is it charging? If it isn't then try a different charger but reopen it and clean it with a soft brush and try again otherwise it looks like you've a PSU fault there and you have either disconnected or caused static damage to the system.

TV goes to green, sound stays on a few seconds then TV shuts off.

Sounds like you have a bad picture tube. More than likely the CRT could be shorted, which would cause the set to shut down.
My first advise would be to power up the set with an isolation transformer with the voltage about 60% approx. 72 Volts AC, and monitor what happens when you increase the voltage slowly.
If the set remains on at 60 -70 %, then when increased to 90 - 100% it shuts down, you have something drawing too much current ( which could be the CRT )

This happened to me and I was able to fix it. I cracked it opened and found a bad capacitor, bought a replacement at Radio Shack and I'm back in business. Actually using it right now to post this.

This unit is notorius for having shorted or int. shorted crts. Not good news ans this is very expensive and the crts are no longer available and can only be rebuilt by send to Video Display company.
