All icons open itunes has something to do with the

Today, i accidently changed the "Open With" funtion for all of my desktop icons to itunes, when i was only trying to fix the itunes icon. Now when i double click on any icon, i.e. Mozilla Firefox (the icon for mozilla is the itunes icon) it opens itunes instead. How do i fix this? Literally every single desktop icon, even Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher open Itunes instead of their designated applications. Please help!

This will work, it's a little time consuming and there may be a faster way I am not aware of, but this way is sure fire to work. I assume your operating system is Windows because of the "Open With" comment. First thing you have to do is find where the .exe file for each and every program that is affected actually resides. For example you MIGHT find the .exe file that runs word in c:\windows\microsoft\office. That is just an example, the actual place depends on several different things like which OS you actually have, whether its 64 bit OS or 32 bit OS and if you specified a different folder when you installed it. Second you can either delete the shortcut and make a new one by right clicking on the actual .exe file for the program and clicking on create shortcut OR you can right click on the shortcut you already have, click on properties, and type the path to the .exe in the text box labeled "pointer" or "points to" or something similar.

How do I rename my ipod?

When registering your iPod, iTunes will ask you to give your device a name. If you choose not to give your iPod a unique name when configuring the device, iTunes will often give your iPod the default name of "Owner's iPod." If you grow to dislike your name, or were gifted a used one, changing the name on your iPod is very simple. You can change the name of iPod to whatever you like. Your imagination is your only limit.

Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cord. iPods will only work with specific USB cords. If you have lost yours, you can purchase a new one from most electronic stores. Open iTunes. While iTunes usually opens automatically when an iPod is connected to your computer, sometimes that fails to happen. Double-clicking on the iTunes icon (you should have it on your computer's desktop) will open iTunes. Scroll down and left-click on the icon for your iPod. You will find it in the left hand-side panel of iTunes. Left-click on the current name of your iPod to highlight it. Type in the new name of your iPod and then left-click anywhere to save. Windows-based PCs b> Plug your iPod into your computer to open iTunes; if it doesn't automatically open, open it manually. A window will pop up on your computer asking you if you want to sync the contents of your iPod with the contents of your iTunes library. Click cancel. In the iTunes source list, choose the iPod, and make sure that you have selected the Summary tab in iTunes' main window. Open up the My Computer icon from either your desktop or the Start menu, and select your iPod from the window. In the My Computer window, open up the Tool menu and click on Folder Options. This will open up another window. Choose the View tab, and find the heading for Hidden Files and Folders. Click on the button that says "Show Hidden Files and Folders," then click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the Window. Close the Folder Options window. Find the iPod's icon on the desktop and double-click it. This will open more folders in the iPod window. Find the folder called iPod_control and double-click it. Now you will have a number of folders to choose from. Locate the music folder, and drag it to the main desktop so that it's copied to your computer. When the Music folder is on the desktop, right-click on it. From the window that appears, choose "Properties." In the Attributes area of the General tab, uncheck the Hidden option, and then click "Apply." A window will appear that will ask you to confirm the attribute changes. Make sure the box next to the Apply Changes to this Folder, Subfolders, and Files option is checked, and then click OK. Drag the folder and its contents into the iTunes library.

I downloaded itunes on my new laptop. Once downloaded all of my icons I open, open Itunes? they also have the itunes symbol next to each one??

When installing, many programs associate file extensions in Windows with the program. In your case, iTunes associated all file extensions it supports with itself, hence the icons.

Depending on the Windows version, you can change this in the Explorer, or using the default program options (Vista & Windows 7).
