I might suspect that the volume control itself may have a break in the resistance element by your description. There can be many causes however including LOOSE CABLES. IF the unit has been moved recently, then a loose cable MIGHT be the cause. In any case, servicing iis required. If you are not familiar with electronic repair you will need to find an experienced repairman.

I assume you have adjusted the KBD volume.

IF YOU HAVE NOT then that MAYthe problem.

Refer to page 17 of your manual or download the manual here:

    http://www2.tntech.edu/bfa/piano/clavino...

Adjust the KBD volume to 127 and try it.

This setting MAY be overriding your volume control.

My Yamaha Clavinova accompaniment will change by itself. Is this a power issue? It was recently moved from my house to a church.

When you say changes by itself - please describe.
Try a factory reset : Hold down highest white key whilst turning on.

If this doesn't solve the issue please report more details.

Clavinova: no sound from one key only. Rest perform ok.

Likely the key contacts are dirty. These are likely conductive rubber type and have to be cleaned with 99% isoprophyl alcohol.

With the amount of disassembly required to get at the contacts, you best clean them all while you have it apart.

Use 99% (not 70% rubbing alcohol) and Q tips to clean both the circuit board and the rubber "pill" contacts.

Our Yamaha clavinova CLP-115 is buzzing, even with

Without power to the unit no sound should be generated. Make sure there are no other connections.

MAYBE you have a wall transformer behind it that is buzzing. MANY wall transformers develop buzz.

Another source is flourescent lights and even some of the low voltage halogens have noisy transformers in the base.
