038,028,057,014 are the common setup codes for Sony television. If you want to get more details about setup codes and setup proceedings to different other brand remote controls, check this link. Look for codes to Sony. In most of the remote controls will have setup codes for Sony. Before selecting a remote control, check the digit number of code that your Sony Tv accepts. some of them accecpt 3-digits codes, others accept 4 digit, 5 digit and so on. You can get details to all by this site. Search it patiently.

Copy all of that into your browser and you'll end up at best buy looking at a A/V Switch that can switch between 3 different devices so you don't have to change the cables...also, look for ones that are remote controlled that have more options...I just included this one as an example...hope this helps you!

The Sony RM-YD002, RM-YD005 and RM-YD007 models are purported to work with all Bravia LCD TV sets. There are a number of these listed on eBay with prices starting at about US$10. If, as I surmise, you are located in the United Kingdom, you will also have to pay international shipping. This is still much better than the $80+ Sony probably asked for exact replacements (a search of their global web site for your model came up null).

are you using the original sony remote control ?
can you turn the tv off manually with the power button on the front of the tv ?
