I brought a easy capture usb 2-0 video adapter with audio from amazon for about 16 pound installed application to laptop and had real problem trying to get it to transfer to laptop after practicing for 1 1/2 days managed to transfer video from camcorder to pc then burn on to dvd the program software that was on disk was called ulead video studio hope this helps my camcorder is a DS60

The camera uses a 4 pin connection and Macsw use either 6 or 9 pin connection.
Sounds like you need a 4 to 9 pin cable.

Connecting NV-DS60 to a computer
it should be connected with a computer because almost all camcorders have a connection to it by using USB. First install the CD driver from camed with your camcorder's box to your computer and after that connect it with a USB. it should be recognize the camcorder after you insert it. you can check also your camcorder's manual.

hey, get a firewire cable. works for me. except i have to jiggle the cable around a bit until it makes that "hardware connected" sound on the pc. also, for photos, just go to my computer when its plugged in, and click on the camera, it will be there. if this doesnt work, [email protected] ill try help there

Connect to Pc
You will need a firewire cable.
It has 2 different connectors on it. On small 6 pin plug for the camera end, and a larger (almost like a USB but with tapers at one end and slightly thicker) plug at the other.
Your computer will also need to have firewire either built onboard, or via an addin card that you can purchase at any PC shop.
The connector for the camera side plugs into the side of the camera near the battery.
